With the Powerful Love of God in our Heart. We are Never Alone
Our Father, God promises always to be there for us. Almighty God has us in His heart at this very moment.
The Love of God.
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell.The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call.God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race —
The saints’ and angels’ song.(Frederick. M. Lehman, 1917)
Introduction. Such a wondrous and a loving blessing this is. We are in our Father’s heart. This very moment and for eternity.
Scripture Reading: … for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5b, ESV)
This verse from How Firm a Foundation catches the meaning:
The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to his foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake. (Charles Spurgeon, Keep Believing Ministries Blog)
Almighty God speaks to us when we least expect it. Our Father, God meets us. When running from Him we are.
C. S. Lewis God’s earthly messenger. Calls pain Almighty God’s megaphone. At times we may agree with him. In our days of sadness. When our hearts seem to literally break within our chests. In our moments of heartache and desperate in our misery. We run from God our Father. Searching for our own resolutions.
Our Father’s loving response? Is to open His arms and His heart with all the love of the universe. We recall Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal son. We take the role of the prodigal child. God Almighty the loving Father. Waiting patiently for us to see the error of our ways.
Scripture Reading: It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found. (Luke 15:32, ESV)
Run to our Father, God. When sad and frightened. His is our faithful and loving God.
Dear Friends,
Run to God when you’re happy,
Run to God when you’re hurt.
Run to God when life gets weary,
Run to God when you’re full of energy.
Run to God when you question, when you doubt, and when you fear.
Run to God when you need wisdom, or when you need anything at all!
Please don’t run away from God, RUN TO GOD! He is always there.(Bomi Jolly, Jolly Notes Blog)
How to run into the waiting and the loving arms of our Father God?
It is only human nature for us to seek our own answers. After all we are grown ups, aren’t we??? Filled with human wisdom. And many years of accumulated experience. It’s no wonder. That we find comfort in our own minds. And in the arms of friends and family.
When we face sadness and misery. We are faced with all sorts of choices and decisions. Some seem simple and instant resolutions. Some appear easily put off to another time. Some bring a little peace and a brief period of relief. But of ourselves. Lasting peace, we cannot. We do not find.
This is not our true solution. Solving our own problems. Is the one thing we should never do. So how do we truly respond to sadness, misery and heartache? Our choice. Run to our Father, God. We firstly. Beg God’s forgiveness. Then. Run to God our only hope of lasting and comforting peace.
You and I run to the One who is waiting patiently for us. We run! Yes! We run to our Father. We are God’s prodigal child. Our Father is always waiting for us. God is waiting for us with arms outstretched and His heart wide open.
We return Home to our Heavenly Father. We God’s prodigal child. Return to our Father.
Scripture Reading: When I am afraid,
I put my trust in You. (Psalm 56:3, ESV)
You and I simply want to return Home to Almighty God. On our days of sadness. In our misery. We sit in our tears. We as Jesus’ prodigal son. Realize. We are no longer fit to be called God’s child.
But lo! Our Father stands in the distance waiting. Our Father loves us still. For God sees not our sadness nor our misery. Our Heavenly Father sees only His special and beloved child. For this is who we are. We are the child God created. We are the child God made to love Him with all our being.
In return. Our Father. Welcomes us Home. With His arms outstretched. Our loving Father welcomes His prodigal child Home. God places on our shoulder. His robe of LOVE. On our finger. Our Father places His ring.
Scripture Reading: Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. (Luke 15:22b, ESV)
You and I are blessed by Almighty God. We are loved by our Heavenly Father. Loved we are. Truly and forever loved are we.
Scripture Reading: Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8, ESV)
We live forever. Wrapped in the love of God our Father.
Scripture Reading: One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. (Ephesians 4:6, ESV)
Do we realize what an honor? Such a privilege. God grants to us. We are God’s beloved child. Once you and I have accepted His Son, Jesus. As our personal Savior and our Lord. We are and always will be God’s child.
Scripture Reading: But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12, ESV)
Not for a moment. Not for a second do we forget what an honor our God has granted us. Each prayer begins with, “our Father.” Every prayer closes with, “in the Holy Name of Jesus.” We grasp. Truly grasp the magnificence. The power behind these words. The truth of our prayers. Is in the One who created prayer. Our creator God.
We act. We believe. We remember. Always. We are and always shall be. Our Father’s beloved child.
