The Cloud

A cloud lay cradled near the setting sun,
A gleam of crimson tinged its braided snow;
Long had I watched the glory moving on,
O’er the still radiance of the lake below:
Tranquil its spirit seemed, and floated slow,
E’en in its very motion there was rest,
While every breath of eve that chanced to blow,
Wafted the traveller to the beauteous west. John Wilson

Caleb’s article reminds us of the importance of our relationship with Jesus.

He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked. 1 John 2:6

Do we feel a little more gloomy on a cloudy day? Do we not walk quite so tall when the clouds hide our friend, the sun? Is it merely a point of perspective? Is it really that simple?
