We Will Be with Jesus in Paradise. This Almighty God Promises
This is a world of chaos. We have Paradise waiting for us.
O Paradise! O Paradise! Who doth not crave for rest?
O Paradise, O Paradise,
Who doth not crave for rest?
Who would not seek the happy land,
Where they that loved are blest:Refrain:
Where loyal hearts and true
Stand ever in the light,
All rapture, through and through,
In God’s most holy sight. A-men. (Frederick W. Faber, 1862)
Introduction. This article is a continuation from, “Jesus, the Lion of Judah and Jesus the Lamb of God.” Today, we explore how we live here on Earth. Yet our true citizenship is in Paradise.
Scripture Readings: But our citizenship is in Heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, (Philippians 3:20, ESV)
So, you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God. (Hosea 12:6, ESV)
O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for You. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble. (Isaiah 33:2, ESV)
While waiting eagerly for the triumphant return of our Lord, Jesus. All faithful believers are patient, hopeful and have unceasing love for Jesus Christ our Lord. God the Holy Spirit grants to us the comfort, help and strength needed. You and I wait, and we watch!!!
Whilst we wait for Jesus to return and take us Home. As in all our times of waiting upon our Lord. We reach for the Holy Word of God. And we trust. Oh! Yes! We trust in God Almighty. For He has always and knows what is best still.
Then as we turn the pages in our beloved and somewhat worn-out Bible. We see holy and righteous Christian living makes a difference. 2 Peter 3:11–12 suggests Christian living according to the will and purpose of Almighty God affects God’s timetable. We can indeed hasten the return of our Lord!
While we wait for the triumphant return of Jesus, the Lion of Judah.
What is the common denominator for all faithful believers? Our waiting time is not to be passive. But truly active engagement. Loving and hopeful expectation. Each day as if it were the day of Jesus’ triumphant return. Yes! Today! Make every effort for Jesus’ return today! Don’t put it off till tomorrow. Yes! Today! Our most beloved is coming for us.
Saint Paul in Thessalonians 5:13 uses the imagery of faithful believers needing constant awareness. He is cautioning us to trust in the light of our Savior Christ. You and I are not only saved by and through Jesus Christ. We are united to our Lord by His unceasing love for us.
In Jesus’ Parable of the thief in the night. The phrase, “the day of the Lord,” is Saint Paul reminder to us. Stirring our heart to follow God’s Holy ways constantly. Consistently to walk in the light and love of Jesus. Victoriously overcoming temptation and conquering the evil one — Satan.
With the strength granted to us by the indwelling of God, the Holy Spirit. We conquer. We wait. We watch. At all times, you and I walk in the shining light of Jesus. Confidently believing we shall be with Jesus and God our Father in Paradise.
Paradise — Heaven — The Kingdom of God. Our Future Home.
We walk each day in the Holy and loving presence of our Father. You and I are comforted and blessed by the loving promises of Jesus. As we obey God’s Holy Law. As we live according to Almighty God’s Holy will. Paradise shall indeed be our future Home.
God’s Holy Word. God’s Love Story. Almighty God is to us a mystery writer. Leaving us enough details in His Bible to encourage us to search for hidden treasures. So, we seek ever more. Each day we want more details on what Paradise, our future Home is like.
Scripture Reading: After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. 91 Thessalonians 4:17, ESV)
In all Biblical searches more clues are gained. Some texts show to us the Kingdom of God is large enough to hold many cities. Glorious beyond our imagination. We pause here for a moment. You and I remember Jesus’ promise,
Scripture Reading: My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you. That I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:2–3, NIV)
What a glorious promise from Jesus this is. Jesus one day is returning for us. You and I will be living for eternity in Paradise with Him and His Father.
What other gems of wisdom about Paradise does God’s Word hold in store for us? Well, for me it is simply. You and I will be living with Jesus and His Father for eternity.
Scripture Readings: Who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables Him even to subject all things to Himself. (Philippians 3:21, ESV)
Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is. (1 John 3:2, ESV)
What other gems of wisdom about Paradise does God’s Word hold in store for us? We shall see God our Father face-to-face. You and I shall have eternity to worship and praise God and Jesus on such a personal basis. Along with all God’s saints and Heavenly beings. For eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven. Face-to face with our Creator.
Scripture Reading: And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Revelation 21:2–3, NIV)
Upon entering Paradise. Once we walk through the Gates of the Kingdom of God. We receive peace beyond understanding. Eternal peace, hope and love. Jesus Himself is the light of Heaven. Jesus’ face illumes this Paradise. Such love shines from Him. For eternity and beyond we sing His praises and worship at His feet forever more.
