All to Jesus I surrender

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

(Judson W. Van DeVenter, 1896)

Reflection. The love. The joy. The blessing of complete surrender to Jesus. A life of peace, hope and the miracle of Salvation.

Scripture Readings: I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. (Romans 12:1, ESV)

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20, ESV)

Perhaps when we consider giving ourselves completely to our LORD. Maybe when we read the words of Saul of Tarsus. When Saint Paul appeals for us. To “present our bodies as a living sacrifice.” (Romans 12:1, ESV)

We picture ourselves being dragged. Screaming up a mighty flight of never-ending stairs. By a priest yielding a sharp sword. Ready to slaughter his next victim. The high-priest standing at the bottom of the stairs commenting. “People nowadays appear not to believe in anything.”

Do we offer our bodies as a living sacrifice to Jesus our Redeemer? To the God. To the Savior. To the One who gave His all for us. Jesus our Redeemer offered and gave His very life for all humanity. Freely and gladly giving our all in all. We give to Jesus all we are and all we have with open hearts. Or do we hesitate may be just a little.

Offering our bodies to Jesus as a living sacrifice. Is only a mere repayment. For what He paid on our behalf. Yes, living our lives as a sacrifice. Is such a radical change in our existence. But such a loving and a wonderful way to live it is.

We live and we die for Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus our Lord lived and He died for all humanity. Anything that Jesus asks of us. We do willingly.

Scripture Readings: For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. (Romans 14:8, ESV)

And that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again. (2 Corinthians 5:15, ESV)

Living for Jesus our Redeemer. Is the most glorious ambition. One could aim for.

Living for Jesus means that pleasing Him is our highest aim (Colossians 1:10). Although we have dozens of lesser motivators, those filled with the Spirit of Christ are motivated primarily by His goals and His plans for their lives. When those plans collide with lesser goals, those who are living for Jesus follow His way and not their own (Proverbs 3:5–6, ESV) (Got Questions Blog)
