Reflection. With each breath we take. With every beat of our hearts. We honour and praise Jesus our Lord. Jesus’ act of glorification is through His saving grace.

To glorify Jesus means to honour and praise Him for His work of salvation and revelation123. Jesus was glorified when He sacrificed Himself on the cross, rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and sat down on His throne1. Jesus also prayed for His glorification because of the authority and the work given to Him by the Father2. Jesus glorified the Father by revealing His character and His will to the world 3. With each breath we take. With every beat of our hearts. We honor and praise Jesus our Redeemer, Lord and God. Jesus died in our place. Jesus our Saviour suffered, bled and died in our place. When Jesus hung and died on His wicked and soul-saving cross. Jesus began the process of His glorification. This process continued through His resurrection, ascension to Heaven and as He took His place on the Heavenly throne.

Scripture Reading: But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. (Hebrews 2:9, NIV)

The Son of Man who once made a little lower than the angels. Now and for eternity is crowned with glory and honor. Saint John in his Gospel chapter twelve. Speaks of the epilogue of our Lord’s earthly ministry. John talks about Jesus’ crucifixion. How Christ’s crucifixion speaks of Him being “glorified” and “lifted higher.”

Our Lord Jesus, by completing His work of salvation. Jesus the Redeemer is achieving His act of “glorification.” Jesus’ glorious act of love for all humanity. Jesus’ sign of true mercy for you and me. Jesus’ gift of salvation was His final act as a “finite man.” Jesus as fully Man at,

The crucifixion was the Lord’s last and greatest trial or temptation, through which He completed the process of glorifying His humanity, and also the task of defeating the power of the Devil, which is the power of all evil. Glorifying His humanity and defeating the Devil go hand in hand. (Lee & Annette Woofenden, 07/04/2019)

What does this mean for you and me? It means we are risen anew with Jesus. We receive the gift of love and salvation through His sacrifice. We with every breath and each heartbeat praise and worship Jesus. For the wondrous gift of salvation and eternal life, He has given.

Jesus rising victorious from His grave. Our Lord lives forever more. Jesus is seated on His throne. Jesus is sitting at the side of His Father God in the Heavenly Realm. Forever more Jesus lives. He lives.

I do not know about you, dear reader. But I am struggling with this a little. The complete process of the glorification of our Lord Jesus. Or to put it another way. The filling of Jesus with the glory of the Divine Being. That is, becoming completely equal with Almighty God. God the Man, becoming fully divine and fully one with the Father, which is the divine soul. Jesus is God the Son. Eternally, God the Son.

Scripture Reading: By completing this process of glorification, Jesus also gained all power — which is divine power — as He says in Matthew 28:18: “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and in the Earth.” (Lee & Annette Woofenden, 07/04/2019)

When we look back at the horrific nature of Christ’s crucifixion. It is almost impossible for us to understand that this is His glorification. We cannot. We do not want to minimize the horror of the death of our Lord Jesus. Jesus was betrayed by one of His own.

We must also note that the death of our Lord was both the greatest travesty in human history and one of the greatest moments of glory ever seen. After Judas’ departure from the Upper Room, Jesus said to His disciples, “Now is the Son of Man glorified” (John 13:31). This is a reference to the atoning death of Christ, which was imminent. John’s gospel tells us in several ways that the death of Jesus was a moment of supreme glory for our Savior. When Jesus asks for the Father to glorify Him at the right hour, that right hour is the hour of His death (17:1). When Jesus spoke of His being lifted up to draw worshipers to Himself, He was speaking of being lifted up on the cross of Calvary (John 3:14; 12:27). (Ligonier Blog)

When we read of Jesus being “lifted up.” Do we remember this means Him being crucified on His wicked and soul-saving cross? At the moment of Christ’s crucifixion, we witness the depth of Almighty God's love for humanity. Jesus took on the weight of all man’s sins. Jesus took on the wrath of Almighty God. Christ in His purity and innocence. Took on the curse of sin for all humanity. The price for sin, death and separation from our Heavenly Father. Paid for by the Innocent One.

Conclusion. It was God Himself who paid the price for our sins.

From the moment of our salvation. Till eternity. With every breath we take. With every beating of our heart. We sing prayers of praise. We worship Jesus Christ our Lord for His saving grace. We praise and worship His Holy Name, AMEN!

Christ as He suffered, bled and died on His cross. Jesus as He was crucified. Jesus Christ reveals to all humanity the supreme love of Almighty God. For it was God Himself who hung on the Cross. Jesus, God the Son hung on the Cross. God Himself in the Person of Jesus suffered, bled and died to pay the price for our sins. It was God Himself, Jesus, God the Son who died so we are reconciled once more with our Father. (Acts 20:28, NIV)
