We Have a God. Whose Love is Peaceful and Tender
Every person needs the peace. Only God Almighty gives. God’s tender voice. We seek.

Introduction. Almighty God’s tender and peaceful voice soothes and calms. God’s love takes us to places of wonder and amazement. Our Father, God replaces our brokenness. With His healing. With His presence.
Scripture Readings: And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7, ESV)
May the Lord give strength to His people!
May the Lord bless His people with peace! (Psalm 29:11, ESV)
The nearness. The closeness of our Almighty God fills us with such a soothing and such a calming peace. God’s closeness gives us reassurance. Even on our sad days. On our days of heartache. As we crave just for a moment or two of peace. Our Heavenly Father’s presence fills our hearts. The Almighty One fills our entire being. With His love and His peace.
In our moments of quietness. In our special place of solitude. In our times with the sacred and the divine God. When you and I seek the peace. The rest that only our Father gives us. When only the quiet whispers of our Heavenly Father. Can drown out the noise of our busy-ness. When the cold of our day. Is replaced by the warmth of the love of God, our Father. God Almighty’s presence covers us with such warmth. And such peace. Such protection and safety. God Almighty’s presence covers us, as we walk. As we live with Him. All these and so very much more. We gain through prayer.
Almighty God’s presence is felt, simply. As His gentle breeze brushes our cheek. As we walk with Him on our favorite beach. It may be God’s breath. Whispering of His love. Walking on our beach. God’s sun shines His love and His warmth into our hearts also.
And he said unto Him, If Thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
Scripture Reading: For wherein shall it be known here that I and Thy people have found grace in Thy sight? Is it not in that Thou goest with us? So shall we be separated, I and Thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. (Exodus 3:15–16, ESV)
The nearness. The closeness of Almighty God. Through the Holy Word of God.
At such times, God draws near to us, to bind up our wounds and carry our burdens with us. God may feel a million miles away but in fact he is right there with us sharing our pain. (Scripture Union USA Blog)
Let us make time in the busy-ness of our day. To always. To always set apart precious moments for our Heavenly Father. By doing so. God’s love and His calming peace gives us the rest. And the comfort we did not even realize. We so very badly needed.
Psalm 34. Penned by King David. As he fled the Philistine king. This psalm. Along with many other texts throughout the Bible. Tells us how to find the nearness. The closeness of God, our Heavenly Father. In our troubled and our times of heartache.
King David shows us. It is in these very times. God Almighty loves us the most. In our times of desperation. These times, when on our knees before God we are. God draws near and comforts us. This, this is how very much God loves us. And always will.
God is to be found in prayer. The nearness. The closeness. The love of Almighty God is found in genuine and consistent prayer.
Scripture Reading: One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the House of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in His temple. (Psalm 27:4, ESV)
Prayer — The simple — The profound — The sacred gift from our Father, God. Prayer is both our conversation to God Almighty. Prayer when conducted in silence. Is also a chance for us to hear the still. The small voice of God, the Holy Spirit. As He speaks to our hearts and our souls. God’s Spirit speaks to us of the teachings and the works of Jesus. Prayer is also an opportunity for God our Father to answer us. What a blessing prayer time is. Such a wondrous and an amazing blessing.
As you and I sit in our quietness. As we sit in solitude with our Father, God. Almighty God reveals Himself to us. We open our hears, our minds, and our souls. To the One who is always there. God is always there — LISTENING.
Let us commune with God daily. Seeking. Always seeking. Forever seeking God’s presence and His love. Then we are blessed with God’s ever-lasting peace. We are comforted and rested everyday of our lives.
