We Can Find Miracles. When We Look Through the Eyes of Love
God creates miracles all around us. We see them everywhere. When looking through the eyes of love.
Miracle.
When the darkness comes, let the light shine through
A spark of faith will ignite in you.
In a candle’s glow, a virgin’s womb
In a simple prayer, in the empty tomb. There are miracles all around
Miracles yet to be found.
Hid in every heart is an answered prayer
Like a candle’s flame, hope will lead us there.( Candace Lee, Luke Thomas Atencio.)
Introduction. Jesus uses cardiac surgeons to perform today His miracles. In the hands of His doctors. People are given a second chance of life. All around the world. Hearts are transplanted.
Scripture Readings: He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen. (Deuteronomy 10:21, ESV)
As for me, I would seek God,
and to God would I commit my cause,
who does great things and unsearchable,
marvelous things without number. (Job 5:8–9, ESV)
Almighty God’s miracles are to be found all around us. Our Creator God wove His miracles. Into the very existence of His creations. Into the fabric of each of God’s creations. God works His miracles still.
We stoop down. We smell the sweet and pure fragrance of God’s pure and white rosebud. Watching over the passing of our days. This rosebud blooms and grows right before our eyes. She brings to our hearts. God’s love and His blessings. God’s love. Yes! God’s miracle speaking of His love. This for us is the surest miracle of all.
This for you and for me is the miracle. God’s heart speaking to ours of His love. Yes! This is the hidden miracle. In His rosebud. God’s love opening up to us. As she blooms and she grows each day.
In the busy-ness of our day. Let us take the time to open our eyes of love. With hearts wide open. We glimpse God’s true miracle. In his white rosebud. We feel the velvety texture of her petals. Oh! The soft and velvety texture of God’s miracle. In miniature. God’s petals perfectly interwoven. This pure white rosebud is unique. None like her is there. Such a miracle. Such a blessing. God is speaking to our open hearts.
Scripture Reading: Remember the wondrous works that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He uttered, (Psalm 105:5, ESV)
Yes! God’s miracles are surely all around us still. His love transforms our day. Opening our eyes and our hearts to God’s empowering love.
The greatest. The most wondrous. The most loving miracle. God created — FORGIVENESS.
Scripture Reading: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9, ESV)
The greatest of God’s miracles is forgiveness. Jesus’ miracle of forgiveness is never-ending. No matter how many times we stumble and fall. As long as we honestly bend low in prayer. And genuinely repent to God of our sins. Jesus has the power and the authority to forgive us of our sins.
Reading in God’s Holy Word. Jesus performing His miracle. Jesus healing miraculously the paralytic man. But wait! There is so much more. Jesus not only heals the body of this man. Though wondrous alone this is. In Saint Mark’s passage. The first act Jesus performs was, “son, your sins are forgiven.”
Scripture Reading: And when Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” (Mark 2:5, ESV)
This is the genuine miracle of Almighty God. This man’s sins were forgiven. By the authority and the power held by Jesus. Jesus, God the Son.
The amazement. The miracle. Jesus is God the Son. Jesus is the Son of God. And therefore, has the power and the authority to forgive us of our sins. In the Holy name of God the Father.
As we pray. To the Almighty One. We believe. In the deepness of our hearts. We believe. Almighty God’s hope and His unlimited love. Leads to Jesus’ miracles still.
Scripture Readings: I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
yes, I will remember Your wonders of old.
I will ponder all Your work,
and meditate on Your mighty deeds. (Psalm 77:11–12, ESV)You are the God who works wonders;
You have made known Your might among the peoples. (Psalm 77:14, ESV)
Praying for a miracle is a three-step philosophy. We pray. We believe with all our being that God listens and answers all prayers. God Almighty always, always answers our prayers.
Have you ever had a miracle performed for you or a loved one by our Lord Jesus? Did you realize then or later? Yes! An answer to a specific prayer. A prayer for a miracle.
The true miracle. God was listening. God Almighty answered our prayer. God our Father loves us so deeply. God loves you and me. God loves each of His children. As if we are His only child. This is the belief behind God’s miracle — PRAYER.
Scripture Reading: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24, ESV)
The person praying for her miracle. Absolutely believes her miracle Jesus shall perform for her — ABSOLUTELY. Jesus through her faith. Is allowed to perform His miracle, still.
We are all familiar with the verse. You of little faith. Say to this mountain. Move and it shall.
When you and I have complete faith in Jesus. We say to the mighty mountain, “move.” Then, this mighty mountain bows to our command. And merrily dances into the ocean for us.
We shall. With Almighty God on our side. Move all the obstacles in our way. You and I, with Jesus holding our hand. Will also perform His miracles. Then, yes! The mighty mountain will merrily dance into the ocean at our command.
This is the power. The miracle of answered prayer. We live. We walk in the presence always of Almighty God.
This is the prayer. This is the miracle. This is the love of Jesus. This is the love of Almighty God for us. We have experienced for ourselves. The power of answered prayer. We have been in the presence of the Almighty One. For this is what answered prayer is. Walking and living in the presence of God Himself. That is the true miracle. For that moment. For eternity. You and I are living in the presence of God Almighty.
This is the wonder. This is how much our Heavenly Father loves us. The gift. The blessing of answered prayer.
