We are Loved. Truly Loved. By Our Heavenly Father
God, our Heavenly Father loves us so. Almighty God gives to us unlimited and unconditional love, always.
O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go.
Love that will not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in Thee.
I give Thee back the life I owe,
that in Thine ocean depths its flow
may richer, fuller be.O Light that follows all my way,
I yield my flick’ring torch to Thee.
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
that in Thy sunshine’s blaze its day,
may brighter, fairer be.(George Matheson, 1882)
Introduction. Of course, we love our Heavenly Father. Do we love Him enough to give Him all our heart. When we do. Almighty God enters our heart and our soul.
Scripture Reading: The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3, NIV)
As you and I continue our journey in God’s Love Story. God’s Holy Word has as its central role. As the Bible plays out every day, in each day of our life. The Holy Word of God has only one concept. God’s Holy Scripture has one theme and one theme only — LOVE.
God’s very nature. Almighty God’s true character is the basis, the foundation of His Holy Word. The Holy description for God — God is LOVE.
Scripture Reading: And so, we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. (1 John 4:16, ESV)
We are loved. You and I are truly loved. When our Heavenly Father tells us we are His beloved. Do you and I recognize the true meaning of this word — BELOVED? Each one of His children hold a rare and a precious place in the heart of the Almighty One. In the wondrous and glorious heart of God. Each child has a special and an intimate relationship with the Father. You and I are truly priceless. We are special to the One who loves us so. Each child is a MASTERPIECE of her Creator God.
As in all relationships, communication with our Heavenly Father is key. Our prayer time with the Father, who loves us with such deep love. Is our conversation with Almighty God. You and I are so loved by God Almighty. Our Heavenly Father waits patiently for us to find time each and every day. Therefore, we must. We do find time to spend to speak with our Father, our beloved. Every day we find our place of quiet and solitude. We bow our head. We pray. We speak to the One who waits so patiently. We talk to our beloved.
The Almighty One speaks to us of His love. In and through our prayer time with our Heavenly Father. There is true power in prayer. God’s love.
Scripture Readings: The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:16b, NIV)
Further Instructions
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. (Colossians, 4:2, NIV)
Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24, NIV)
As God’s beloved children. He has given to us such a beautiful way to speak with Him — PRAYER.
When you and I read God’s Holy Word. There are dozens of real-life instances of miracles. Digging deep into the why and the how. One common denominator they all share. Each one an answer to someone’s prayer to Almighty God. When the Almighty One parted the Red Sea. Assuring the safety of Moses and His chosen people. It was in answer to Moses’ prayer. No miracles performed without first a prayer.
You and I have the power to bring about miracles. No, not of and in of ourselves. Yes, in the absolute power of prayer. The miraculous power of a prayer for a miracle. As in the power behind any prayer. Prayer is an act of worship.
Yes! When praying to Almighty God. We are indeed worshiping the One who loves us so. God loves us so very much. He gives to you and to me the Almighty and awesome power of prayer. Each word we speak to our Heavenly Father. Is to be spoken as true worship and glorifying God always.
Scripture Reading: Psalm 115
Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to Your name be the glory,
because of Your love and faithfulness. (Psalm 115:1, NIV)
How do we approach Almighty God. As beloved children of God. In an intimate and personal relationship with our Father. We approach Almighty God in prayer with humble confidence.
Scripture Reading: Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16, NIV)
I don’t know about you. For me. To believe I am a beloved child of my Heavenly Father. Is such an honor. A privilege of love and a blessing from God.
We are eager to spend time in His loving and Holy presence in our prayer time. We do not approach our Father in timidity. You and I approach our Father with the confidence gained through experience.
Many, many years of studying His Holy Word. Many, many times spent worshipping and praising His Holy name. Sharing the love of God Almighty. And His Son Jesus with all those we meet. Yes, we approach our Father in prayer in humble confidence.
Naturally, in all our prayer time. The first words we usher to Heaven. Are words of true thankfulness. Thanking God for the day He has granted to us. And for all the other countless gifts and blessing of love. As we sit with our Father. In true humility. Knowing we owe to Him our very life.
Scripture Reading: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6–7, NIV)
But experience is not sufficient alone. For experience can mean we only know of and about God Almighty. What you and I have gained over the years. What we have gained through the study of God’s Holy Word. What many, many hours spent in the Holy presence of our Heavenly Father. Has brought to us — FAITH. Faith in God Almighty and His beloved Son, Christ Jesus. Faith in the One who loves us beyond measure.
In all our prayers we acknowledge to whom we are praying. You and I are praying to our Father, God. Yes, God has granted to all His people. Such a privilege. We address all our prayers to “Abba,” to “Father.”
What does this teach all God’s beloved children. We are now. And always will be Almighty God’s beloved.
Scripture Reading: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. (Matthew 6:9, KJV)
This day. Every day of our life. We remember who we are. A beloved child of God.
Every day of our life we give thanks to God for loving us so.
