We Abide in the Presence of God’s Never Failing Grace

The grace of God never fails. We need the Holy presence of Almighty God “every passing hour.”

Abide with me!

Abide with me! fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide!
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me.

I need Thy presence every passing hour:
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter’s power?
Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, oh, abide with me.

(Henry Francis Lyte, 1847)

Reflection. We were made by God the Creator to love Him with all our being. We are made to be truly and deeply loved by Him. We long to be in Almighty God’s presence — ALWAYS.

The comfort, the peace and the love which is awakened in our hearts. Such emotions. Are profound and are ever stirring. When we are in the presence of Almighty God. Our hearts and our souls are awakened to Almighty God and His unceasing love.

How do we live constantly in the Holy and the loving presence of God? How???

We long for a life. Where. Every moment is lived feeling the love and the grace of our Heavenly Father. Where. We yearn for a deeper encounter with the One who loves us so. Where. We hunger for a loving companionship with our Heavenly Father. Where. Throughout our day we live in constant awareness of Almighty God. Where. From the moment of waking to the closing of our eyes in peaceful slumber. Where. We feel the Holy and peaceful presence of our God.

You and I long to include Almighty God in all we do. From the most important tasks at work. To the more mundane at home. We do all for the glory of God. In all our actions. In every word we speak. We do all for the glory of God Almighty. In this way we are closer to our Heavenly Father. We realize nothing is below us. When Jesus was here on Earth. He bowed low and washed the feet of His disciples. Nothing is below us. Our Lord tells us. Jesus is the Lord of lords. Yet Jesus came to serve. Not to be served. We follow His example in all we do.

Scripture Readings: He got up from the meal, took off His outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around His waist. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around Him. (John 13:4–5, ESV)

Keep this commandment without stain or reproach until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ, which the blessed and only Sovereign One — the King of kings and Lord of lords — will bring about in His own time. He alone is immortal and dwells in unapproachable light. No one has ever seen Him, nor can anyone see Him. (1 Timothy 6:14–16, NIV)

Dear reader allow me please to share. How I place myself in God’s presence throughout my day. In the mundane tasks. As well as when writing these precious articles of my love for God. I am in consistent prayer to Almighty God. Yes, just silent and consistent prayers. My prayers are continuous.

There are not many parts of my day when I not speaking to my Father. Many prayers are simple and of only a few words. Seeking the guidance and teaching of God the Holy Spirit. There are prayers where I lay out my needs. Prayers where I am on my knees pleading for God’s help and His love. Each prayer conducted in an attitude of thanksgiving. Each prayer ushered in a position that the prayer is genuinely answered. Believing. Always believing God answers all my prayers.

It is through continuous prayer to Almighty God. We are in constant companionship with Almighty God. In simple and more profound prayer. We are keeping our hearts and our minds focused on Him. As we make the lunch for our family. We thank God for His provision and for our beloved family. As we tidy our house. Once again a prayer focused on thanksgiving. We are aware. Without God our Father we would have none of these.

Scripture Reading: Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17, NIV)

Throughout our day we pray. Simple prayers to God for always being here for us. For we have a God who is omnipotent. There is nowhere we go. Our Heavenly Father is not already there — NOWHERE.

Scripture Reading: Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, You are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, You are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there Your hand will guide me,
Your right hand will hold me fast. (Psalm 139:7–10, ESV)

We cannot even imaging the vastness of a God being everywhere at the same time. We are merely human. We can only be at one place. We can only be here in a single moment of time. Our time is linear. Meaning we can only move forward in time. Where Almighty God is in the past, in the present and in the future. All at the same time. Yes! I know. We cannot wrap our minds around this.

We do not need to. The wonder. The love of this. God is here for us — ALWAYS. It matters not what is happening in our lives. Good or bad. God Almighty is here. When there are times in our lives we do not feel the presence of God. It is not because God has left us. For this is simply not possible. God is everywhere. All the time. It is simply not possible for God to leave us. It is simply not possible.

This Is A Comforting Truth For The Believer.

The fact that God is everywhere present is a constant source of comfort for believers. Wherever the believer may go, they will find themselves in the protection of God’s presence. There is no place where a believer can get away from God’s reach. His presence may be experienced at any time and at any place. God has promised the believer that He is with them always.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. (Isaiah 43:2, ESV.) (Blue Letter Bible Blog)

A Prayer for Comfort When Your Heart Is Hurting — June 26

Remember that He is close, always. And little by little, you will be consoled and comforted. You will see Him saving you. By the grace of God, I made it out again. I remember recently wondering if He’d ever save me from my sad self. But He was. And He did. (Godtube Blog)

I pray there was something in my article where God blessed you.

Send me a comment on how God blessed you through my words.

God keep you safe under His wings always, Diane.
