Forever!

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high.
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away.
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated.

(Marty Mullen, 2022)

Reflection. Jesus Christ the Messiah defeated death. The Son of God stepped victorious from His tomb. Death holds no fear now. For those who accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior.

Scripture Reading: They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!” (Luke 24:2–6, NIV)

He is risen! He is risen! He is risen! He is alive! Jesus is Eternally glorified!

His perfect love could not be overcome! The Tomb is Empty!

Can we picture the look on Mary Magdelene’s face? She had just glanced into the tomb. Where the beloved body of her Savior should have been. What lay before her grief-stricken eyes? An empty tomb. Just the burial clothes of her beloved Lord Jesus. Laid out neatly His burial clothes. An empty tomb. Then Mary sensed a presence. Mary’s heart felt a familiar love. Mary timidly turned around. There before her — stood her Lord. There before — her stood the Person she loved above all others. Jesus was the same — yet different somehow. ‘Jesus said to her,’

Scripture Reading: “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ (JOHN 20:16–17, ESV)

Can we feel the sadness and the confusion in Mary’ heart. For as she glanced into the empty tomb. All she saw were the burial clothes. Her first thoughts must have been. Someone had stolen the body of the “Rabboni!” Her precious Teacher was not there. Her first thoughts were someone had stolen the body of her Lord and her Savior. Mary had come to finish her Lord’s burial rites. Her Lord Jesus was not there. The tomb was empty. Her grief could not have been any worse. Her grief was complete. Her grief indeed was heart wrenching.

At the presence of Jesus Christ her Lord. Her heart was moved. She shyly turned around. Her grief quickly forgotten. Mary’s grief was replaced with sheer joy, relief and heavenly delight. Before her stood the resurrected Savior for all mankind. Before her stood her beloved “Rabboni!” Before Mary a faithful disciple and devoted follower. Before Mary stood the one and only Redeemer for all mankind.

Mary’s grief not even a memory. In Mary’s heart only love for her Savior now. In her heart now only true thanksgiving. Her Savior is alive. Our Messiah is eternally alive. Our Savior is eternally glorified. The Lord Jesus is eternally victorious over sin and death. Jesus Christ our one and only conqueror over death and the grave. Our Lord as He stepped from His empty tomb. Christ raised us into eternal life with Him. We live with Him forever in the Heavenly Kingdom of God.

Scripture Reading: O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:55–57, King James Version)

You and I now live each day as conquerors. Through the precious blood of the Lamb of God we also step out of the empty tomb. Through the saving grace of Jesus. We have no fear of death. We live in obedience to the Holy Law of God. We are strengthened each day by obeying God. Our love for Jesus grows stronger each day. By obeying His Two Great Commandments. Each day we grow more and more like Jesus. By following His teachings in His Gospels. We stepped victorious from the empty tomb with Jesus the Resurrected King.

Reading of Jesus’s resurrection in His Gospels. We stand outside an empty tomb. We praise the Holy Name of Jesus. We worship God the Father for raising His Son victorious over death and sin. In our daily prayers to Almighty God, we remember. In Christ’s eternal resurrection. We live also victorious over the grave. You and I also are conquerors over sin and death. Through the pure and perfect blood of the Lamb of God. We live a life which is holy and righteous. Our lives are ones of complete obedience to the laws of Almighty God.

Scripture Readings: Love the LORD your God and keep His requirements, His decrees, His laws and His commands always. (Deuteronomy 11:1, ESV)

And this is love that we walk according to His commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it. ((2 John 1:6, ESV)

But He said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!” (Luke 11:28, ESV)-=

The Holy Law of God is not a heavy burden. The Law of God is put in place by a God who loves us. God’s love is a love so true and so deep. Each Law is put in place for our protection. Take for instance,

Scripture Reading: Thou shalt not kill. (Exodus 20:13, KJV)

Imagine a world where every man, woman and child obeyed this Holy Commandment. Not only over mankind. For over animals also. There would not be wars, conflict or abuse of any kind. Animal cruelty would also be a thing of the past. Starvation would be eradicated. Poverty a thing of the past. Because killing also means people would not see people starving to death. What a wondrous world this would be. If every person just obeyed this one Holy Commandment. We would no longer walk out at night in fear for our own safety.

This is how God designed our world to be. A world of peace. Where everyone loved each other. What a wondrous world this would be.
