My husband and I have witnessed the splendour and miracle that is a Lunar Eclipse.
What is a Lunar Eclipse? An eclipse is a mysterious, almost magical and rare event. Where our earth’s shadow darkens the moon as it passes on its orbit. This is God’s precision, perfection at work. For us to admire when given the privilege. A lunar eclipse can occur only when the sun, earth and moon are exactly aligned.
And, hubby and I were they to see this magical event. WOW! This I will never forget.
Several years ago, from our bedroom windows hubby and I followed the procession of this wonderful and rare Lunar Eclipse. At times we were left speechless. At other times words of awe and amazement tumbled from our lips. The night was a typical country night, crisp and clear. We lived on an isolated property. Where no light pollution spoilt this spectacle for us. “Like the moon it shall be established forever, a faithful witness in the skies.” (Psalm 89:37)
To say we were awestruck by the sheer beauty and reverence we both felt. By the dynamics and precision of this rare lunar event. Is to minimize its impact on us. Any thoughts of fatigue, of sleeping completely swept aside.
To think God has placed us here in the right spot. At the right time to see, to feel, to experience His miracle. And, not a cloud in His sky to diminish its effect…
