Scripture Reading:

“Unto Thee, O my Strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.” (Psalm 59:17)

O, what a way forward!

As the redeemed, gracious soul will continually live to remember the root source of his strength, ability, enablement, and capacity.

And he will not coupe with forbearing, but roll out the instruments of music — from their resting place, and start triggering them to produce a joyful sound/noise unto the Lord God Almighty, who gloriously happens to be his Defence, Safety, Guard, Rock of protection in season and out of season against the onslaughts of the wicked/the fiery darts of darkness, satanic hatred, and the aggressive/outrageous attacks of the devil.

Yes, the unabated, spontaneous outflow of praises from a grateful heart is worthy to be ascribed unto the Lord, who is merciful to His handiworks, which He has salvaged, saved, redeemed and rescued from the hands of satan — the sole enemy of man.

What more can be done for the gracious King of Glory, whose mercy, power and might are sufficient enough unto the afflicted souls, who stretch forth their eyes of eagerness toward the Saviour Divine (and He indeed saves them): than to pour out Hallelujah songs of praises unto the Sovereign God of mercy that shows them His mercy and compassion?

It therefore behoves the people of different tongues and kindred, throughout the nations of the world, not to relent effort in channelling songs of adoration to the Holy One of Israel, who triumphantly and gloriously delivers them from afflictions of all levels. Tumcumcubricea!

It is hellish when people who are saved by God’s mercy turn around to be adamant in reciprocating the gesture — by not singing praises unto their Rock of Defence, and omitting to give thanks unto Him. Such people should repent of the sin of ingratitude and do the needful.

Lord, I give you praise for being my Defence! Amen.
