The book of John Gospel 19:34 reads, “But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.”
The wickedness, and hatred of this sinful world against the Saviour Divine, and His dearly beloved Church, has been demonstrated here.
As we can see how Jesus Christ was ill-treated to death: and they believed that they had succeeded in sending Him to the land of destruction. But His all-powerful Father brought Him back to life and He lives on forever and ever. Caritodikar!
It is so saddening that their mentalities were so malfunctioning that they were madly driven to commit evil without a rethink.
Having been controlled by the powers of darkness to murder Jesus Christ, they were suspended by the same darkness, void of wisdom to realise that, even though they had killed the Messiah and He was confirmed dead by the soldiers of darkness: with one of them going ahead to thrust a spear into His side, and tore His body without sympathy, thereby causing the living blood mixed with water to forcefully pour out in form of the RIVER OF LIFE; they could still have gone on their knees in repentance of heart, and get bathed in the River of the Blood+Water that flowed out from the rib side of the Saviour of the whole world, which was dug by the spear of one of those wicked soldiers.
There is nothing that makes people to be blinded spiritually apart from SIN. Also, there is nothing that turns someone away from the flow of the living Blood+Water that can automatically wash away the sin of sinners, other than the hardness of the heart in evil activities.
O, how I wish that those wicked soldiers/agents of darkness and that very particular, outstanding soldier who pierced the side of the Lord God with his spear of wickedness, were able to repent and believe in the same Blood+Water which was forced out of the body of Christ, they would have been made better, whole, set free and forgiven of their sins and trespasses.
In case you do not know the most terrible enemy of the soul of man, is called SIN; which at its peak, separates an individual or people from their Saviour and Redeemer, who came basically to bear the burden of the penitent souls (sinners), heal, make whole, restore and transform them in totality. Luke 4:18–19 reads, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Matthew 11:28–30 reads, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”
One of the soldiers stretched forth his spear and pierced the side of the Holy One of Israel, and he was categorically seen to be in the same group as all the others who were directly or indirectly involved in the death of the Messiah and King of Glory. We notice here that there are some extremely wicked people in the same class of evil people who excel in wickedness as others.
Lord, save my life from the wickedness of the extra wicked band of people. Amen!
