What A Beautiful Name.

You were the Word at the beginning
One with God the Lord Most High.
Your hidden glory in creation
Now, revealed in You our Christ.

You didn’t want Heaven without us
So Jesus, You brought Heaven down.
My sin was great, Your love was greater
What could separate us now.

(Brooke Ligertwood and Ben Fielding, 2017)

Reflection. God Almighty gives to Jesus. The Name above all other names.

Scripture Reading: Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name that is above every name. (Philippians 2:9, ESV)

The Lord God Almighty places Jesus higher than all others. The Almighty One bestows upon God the Son, Jesus. The Name above all other names. Saint Paul’s Biblical text in Philippians chapter two. Are verses in which he appeals to all faithful believers. When in Jesus’ Sacred presence. At all times we adopt an attitude of true humility. We bend low before the Holy throne of the King of kings. You and I sing prayers of praise before the Lord of lords, Jesus. Jesus is in Heaven. Jesus is sitting on His throne at the right of Almighty God.

When we speak the Holy and the Divine Name of Jesus. We do so in sincere reverence and in awesome wonder — ALWAYS. You and I adopt a posture of true reverence. Many words of thanksgiving. For His sacrifice are spoken in each prayer. A reflection of Jesus’ love for us. Is shown in every action and in each word — ALWAYS. When in the presence of our Lord Jesus.

Every knee must bend in true songs of praise. In eternal/faithful worship. We bow before Jesus our LORD, our GOD. Prayers showing our unfailing love to and for Jesus. Songs of love and words of worship. Telling Jesus of our never ending gratitude. For all Jesus has done for us. In all we do.

When in the Holy and the Divine presence of Jesus our LORD, our Savior. We are bewildered by the realization of His ultimate humility. Jesus left His Divine throne. Christ came to Earth to offer salvation to humanity. Jesus left behind His divinity. Christ took on fully what it means to be human. Christ Jesus took on the humility of being human. All the way to His wicked and His cruel cross. Jesus’ ultimate act of humility. He undertook for the salvation for all humanity. We sing praises to the Holy and the Sacred Name of Jesus. Our sin is great. Jesus’ love for us is greater. When speaking the Holy Name of Jesus. We do so in true humility.

Saint Paul’s Scripture Reading: The Apostle appeals to believers to cultivate an attitude of humility. He gives them an example to emulate, namely, Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate model of humility. He says in verses Philippians 6–9 that Jesus, who is God and who has always been God, did not hold tightly to His position of equality with God. Instead, Jesus emptied Himself or made Himself nothing. He left His high rank in Heaven to become a humble, human servant. He set aside His rights and privileges as God to live a life of humble service and obedience, even to the point of dying a horrible death on the cross for sinners. (gotquestions.org)

Devotion and dedication is to be shown. When speaking the Holiness of Jesus’ name. Reverence and awe are the deepest emotions displayed.

Saint John’s Scripture Reading: Thomas answered Him, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28, ESV)

When in the presence of our Lord Jesus. Jesus our LORD, our Savior, our GOD. Firmly entrenched in the Holy Word of God. Are the instructions on how to display our reverence for Jesus. Almighty God’s Archangel Gabriel first spoke the Holy Name of Jesus. As he instructed the virgin Mary on what to name her future son.

Indeed, the name of Jesus is the sweetest of all names. It carries immense honor and love. As the hymn beautifully expresses:

Scripture Reading:

“Jesus is the sweetest name I know,
And He’s just the same as His lovely Name,
And that’s the reason why I love Him so;
Oh, Jesus is the sweetest name I know.”
(Psalm 139:1–4) (Sweetness Online Bible)

Saint Paul shows to you and to me. The extent of our Lord Jesus’ ultimate and eternal humility. Paul reminds us firstly. Jesus is God. Jesus is God the Son. Yes, we remember always. Jesus is GOD.

Scripture Reading: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death — even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:6–8, NIV)

The Wonder. The Amazement of the Holy Name of our Lord Jesus.

Jesus our Lord’s Name has such power. When we invoke the Holy Name of Jesus in prayer. His Holy Name brings us such comfort. Prayers in the name of Jesus bring about healing. Prayers in the name of Jesus brings our souls His soothing peace. Prayers to God the Father in the Holy Name of Jesus at times brings about His miracles — STILL.

When in faith and through deep devotion. Praying in genuine the Holy Name and invoking His Holy name. Deep and secret powers are sought and are powerfully revealed. With this again we reveal Jesus’ Holy Name.

Jesus the Great Physician has the love and the power. To heal us of all our infirmities. Jesus is God the Son. Christ is the One who is the creator of all there is and all there ever will be. Almighty God planned, designed and made the human body. Without a doubt. The Great Physician finds out what is wrong with our body. And restores it to wholeness once more.

Each one of us. Is a working piece of God’s artistry. A wonderful masterpiece. A craftmanship as no other. Almighty God created and knows every molecule within our body.

When something in our body goes astray. Jesus puts it right once more. As our creator. Jesus our God knows the intricacy of how of our body operates. With complete faith in Him. Absolute obedience to His Great Commandments. Loving Jesus with all our hearts, souls, minds and all our being. You and I sustain loving and robust lives. Living, serving and glorifying God — ALWAYS.

Scripture Reading: And the Lord will guide you continually
and satisfy your desire in scorched places
and make your bones strong;
and you shall be like a watered garden,
like a spring of water,
whose waters do not fail. (Isaiah 58:11, ESV)
