Introduction
The word gospel is literally “good news’ says Dr James Jinhong Kim.
The message of the gospel in the Bible falls into three sections:
- The message of Jesus;
- The message of the Apostles and;
- The teachings of Christianity.
The foundation of the gospel is Jesus’ love and our salvation through Him.
That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: Romans 1:15–16
Spreading the gospel is a way of helping God, the Holy Spirit bring people to our Father. Jesus, Himself recognises that each person has a unique calling to be used in this commission.
