Taste the Goodness of God
Rest and peace are found in the Holy Presence of Almighty God.
Scripture Reading: Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. (Psalm 34:8, ESV)
Reflection. Almighty God is perfect. In God’s refuge, we find His perfect and ever-lasting peace.
Scripture Reading: Now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. (1 Peter 2:3, ESV)
We are so blessed. We are loved. Deeply, intimately and personally loved. We have a God who is perfect in every detail. Almighty God is perfect by nature and in all He does. God’s nature is perfect love. God is love. God the Creator made us to love Him above all others. God made us to love Him with all our hearts and souls. When we do as God commands us. We indeed taste the sweetness, the perfection of Almighty God. The perfection. The goodness of Almighty God fills our hearts with joy and ever-lasting peace.
Saint Peter is asking us. To trust in,
