Holy! Holy! Holy!

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee,
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see,
only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee,
perfect in pow’r, in love, and purity.

(Reginal Heber, 1783)

Introduction. When the Almighty One draws near to us. Our praise. Our worship. Our love we lift once more to Heaven.

Scripture Readings: Psalm 106

Praise the Lord.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
His love endures forever. (Psalm 106:1, NIV)

I will be glad and rejoice in You,
I will sing the praises of Your name, O Most High. (Psalm 9:2, NIV)

As I write this another article of and about my love for the Almighty One. I am once more watching and listening to inspiring Gospel music via my SmartTV. To say it makes me want to lift my heart. And my voice in praise to God. Yes! Oh! Yes! And this is putting it mildly.

These wonderful singers and musicians lift me up, ever closer to Heaven. As they fill my lounge room, my soul and my heart. Once more filling me with the love and the peace of my Heavenly Father. Once more I feel the Almighty One draw near to me. God’s Holy and loving presence never fails to draw from me. My praise, my worship, my LOVE.

Yes, my dear reader. You feel the desire to praise and to worship your Father in such a different way. One sacred promise to you I make. God your loving Father instils in you a desire to praise and worship Him in song. And in PRAYER!!!

Scripture Reading: Psalm 147

Praise the Lord.

How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise Him! (Psalm 147:1, NIV)

As you walk each moment. In the Holy, righteous and loving presence of Almighty God. As you feel God, the Holy Spirit stir softy. Yet urgently within. As your heart overflows with God’s unceasing love for you. Yes! Oh! Yes! Raise your voice in a song of praise.

Join with God’s heavenly angels in harmonic praise. For our Father is patiently waiting. For the Almighty One desires nothing more than to hear our praise. Join with our divine heavenly family and praise God. Now and forever more. AMEN!

Each day. Every moment. On our walk of faith. In our life of devotion and dedication to God. Songs of praise are lifted to Heaven.

Scripture Readings: Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. (Psalm 150:6, NIV)

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. (John 4:23, NIV)

What is truly beautiful about God. He wishes for us to have fellowship with Him. As with any other fellowship. As with any other friendship. You and I need to grow in knowledge and in wisdom in God. The Almighty One gave of Himself in His Holy Word.

You and I need to read our Bible to get to know our LORD. To fully know of and about the One who loves us so.

I at times ask myself. Where do I begin? There are so many, many questions in my pleading heart. Firstly, who am I that I have the right to ask, to seek? For I am the one who hammered the cruel and wicked nails. Those spiteful nails. Which wrenched open the wrists of God’s beloved Son. It is I who cause God my Father so very much pain.

We try so hard to be His beloved child. But we slip. We stumble. We fall. Then you and I realize. We fall each time into the open. And welcoming embrace of our Heavenly Father.

For this is what happens each and every time we spend time in prayer. As we bow our head in prayer. In a heartfelt prayer of confession. You and I once more fall into the loving and open arms of our LORD.

We desire to feel God’s love always. This closeness is always felt in our prayer time. God reveals Himself in His Holy Word. God reveals Himself to all His chosen ones. Then why? Oh! Why? Do we still not fully know of God our most beloved??

Knowing and loving God Almighty personally and intimately.

Scripture Reading: For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12, ESV)

What for us, is the true miracle of the Holy Word of God. All scripture is God Himself. For it is God Himself who wrote His Word. God’s Holy Scripture was written by the Finger of God. God speaks in every page. God, the Creator of all there is, teaches us how to love. By writing to us how much He loves us. In His Holy Word, God speaks to us such words of love, peace, hope and eternal life.

How does the Almighty One respond to our cries to get to know Him??? With LOVE. Always with LOVE. God gave to us His Holy Word. God is pleased when you and I search His Scriptures daily. And through our seeking we get to know Him personally and intimately.

God delights when His people truly know Him, love Him, and enjoy the blessings of His faithful love, justice, and righteousness. (Thomas A. Tarrants, C. S. Lewis Institute Blog)

Each page that we read has within it. God-breathed words. Words of love and inspiration speaking directly to our heart. Lighting our path of faith. Filling our mind with images of wonder and of awe at His creations.

Without His Holy Word we have no reliable source of who God is. Of how very much the Almighty One loves us. The Bible speaks to you and to me. Of the many promises He has pledged to us.

It is through the Holy Word of God that we learn of His plans for us. The Scriptures tell us what the Almighty One has done in the past. What He has purposed for our future. In short, the Bible is God’s miraculous instrument for building our trust and our faith in Him.

God’s Holy Word is not only our inspired message and His teachings to us. The Bible also is God’s love story to you and to me. Each page of every Book is written from God’s loving heart. As we read our Bible. We remember always. At all times. We humbly remember. God is love.

Scripture Readings: And so, we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. (1 John 4:16, NIV)

The more we study and meditate on the loving Word of God. The closer and more personal our relationship with our Father becomes. Our daily life is enriched with joy and gladness never even hoped for.

May God be praised. His Holy Word gives to us a connection to God Himself. Through God’s love story — the Bible we learn of and about our Heavenly Father.

Such peace enters our heart and our life. As we turn to a new page. A new understanding of who God is. Opens up before us. A habit is formed in our day. A habit of hunger. To learn more of our LORD, our Father, our God.
