Gratitude.

All my words fall short
I got nothing new.
How could I express
All my gratitude?

I’ve got one response
I’ve got just one move.
With my arm stretched wide
I will worship You!

(Brandon Lake, 2020)

Reflection. Gratitude to the All-Powerful God. Makes us feel at peace, joyful, and fulfilled. True thanksgiving is a posture adopted in prayers of praise and songs of worship.

Scripture Readings: Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and sing joyful songs of praise. (Psalm 95:2)

Give thanks to the God of Heaven,
For His lovingkindness (graciousness, mercy, compassion) endures forever. (Psalm 136:26 (AMP)

True and sincere gratitude is far, far more than. A simple prayer of “thanks.” For example, when sitting down with our beloved family for our evening meal. We do not merely recite our familiar family “grace.” We pray words of heartfelt love. A song of gratitude. Direct from our hearts to God’s. Our prayer of thanksgiving is not only for our food. Our gratitude is also for our ever-present Father — God Himself. Our prayer is for our family and their love.

Sincere and genuine gratitude. Cultivates a deep and a heartfelt benediction in all we do and all we say. For all our blessings. God our Father has bestowed upon us. Throughout all our days. True deep and heartfelt gratitude is not a momentary prayer of praise.

With the guidance of God the Holy Spirit. Through daily reading and meditation on the Holy Word of God. We actually live a life of praise. We live a life appreciating each breath is indeed a blessing. We appreciate life itself a gift from our Creator. Living in this fashion is in itself a life of prayer. A life of continuous praise and worship to our Creator. A life of constant appreciation to the One who brings us love and joy — ALWAYS.

Scripture Reading: Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (Genesis 2:3, ESV)

The wonder. The grace of living a life of praise and worship for and in God Almighty. We are living a life in a nearness to the One who created us. We are walking in a closeness to our Heavenly Benefactor. Even though we are living in this world. We are not of this world.

We live a life serving Almighty God. By caring and taking care of the needs of those around us. Every action we take. Each word we speak is done always for the glory of God. Our reward is the nearness of our Heavenly Father. Our comfort is the presence of Almighty God — Always. We are living in the presence of Almighty God. The Kingdom of God is our Home here on Earth.

Scripture Reading: Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe. (Hebrews 12:28, NASV)

God the Creator gives each of His people a specific talent. Almighty God grants to each a gift to be used for His glory.

Scripture Readings: Thanks therefore be unto God for His unspeakable gift. (2 Corinthians 9:15 GNV)

Let us come before Him with thanksgiving
and sing joyful songs of praise. (Psalm 95:2 (GNT)

Dear Reader. Our Heavenly Father has given each of us a talent. For me. I have been blessed with what I term the gift of “creativity.” I love. I just love to create. Then as God the Great Creator. I stand back and say,

Scripture Reading: God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning — the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31, NIV)

For instance, I have turned a fur coat which used to keep me cosy and warm on a cold and a frosty winter’s day. She now is a very large Teddy Bear. Who keeps me company on a long night. Sadly my husband is in a nursing home. I have also made him, “Vincent.” A small Teddy Bear who keeps Colin company. All God’s people are given talents specific to their personalities and requirements. All gifts are to be used for the glory of Almighty God. And for the appreciation of others.

Another of my talents. Is quite obvious to you, dear reader. Almighty God has blessed me with something I find great joy in. Painting pictures in words. Painting in words. About my sheer love for my Heavenly Father. Writing about how wonderful God is and His love for all people. Sharing His love with my readers. Researching the relevant Bible texts. Means diving deeply into the precious and priceless Word of God. Reading the comments made by people who read and benefit from my writings. Am I thankful to God for my talent of writing. You bet I am.

Scripture Reading: Colossians 3:23–24

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

This verse encourages us to approach our work and the use of our talents with wholehearted dedication. Whatever we do, we should do it as if we are working for the Lord Himself, not men. (Jamie Wilson, Scripture Savvy Blog)

I am fortunate. I sincerely love my gifts. My talents bring me such joy and happiness. I don’t know what each of you are given by our Father as a specific talent. I do pray it gives you as much pleasure and satisfaction as mine does. Plus, as I do. Always remember Who it is that bestowed up on us our blessings. God Almighty. When I put my paintings up for sale. I do so at affordable prices. So they can be appreciated by others. So other people can also recognize the beauty of God’s landscapes and seascapes.

This is another way of glorifying Almighty God. Using our talents and gifts for the benefit and appreciation of others.

Living a life of praise. Singing a prayer of praise. All our days.

What Does It Look Like to Praise the Lord?

Have you ever known a Christian whose conversation sounds like a song, as if their voice is a smile that cannot be dampened? We are told to rejoice in the Lord always (Philippians 4:4), and it’s a good guess the person just described might be doing just that. (Lisa Loraine Baker, Bible Study Tools Blog)

WOW!! Oh! If we could attain such heights? It is possible. God the Holy Spirit dwells within our Spirit as our guide and our teacher. All we need to do is seek His guidance. To sit silently in His presence. Sitting silently and patiently. Listening for the still, small voice of God the Holy Spirit. He will guide our lives. With patience and much reading of the Holy Word of God attain such heights. Our hearts and our voices continually rejoicing in the LORD.

Many, many prayers are ushered to Heaven seeking the guidance of the Almighty One. A little prayer whispered here and there throughout our day. Reminding ourselves God is nearby. A little prayer whispered telling God, “thank you.” For always being nearby. The more we pray. The nearer we draw to Almighty God. The nearer we are to God. The closer God draws to us. This is the wonder. The miracle of prayer.

Scripture Reading: James 4:8

The Bible verse “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” is from James 4:81.

The verse encourages people to approach God and promises that God will approach them in return. It also urges people to cleanse their hands and purify their hearts, which is a metaphor for repentance and turning away from sin. 21. (Bing, 04/05/2024)

Conclusion. Sing our Prayers of Praise to the One Who Loves Us So.

The reward of living a life of constant praise and worship. God Almighty is nearby — ALWAYS.
