Peace and God, the Holy Spirit
In troubled times, the Holy Spirit gives peace.
Serenity and tranquility of heart and soul.
This article is the continuation of the story I wrote yesterday, “True and Lasting Peace.”
God’s gift, God’s blessing of true and lasting peace is especially associated with the Holy Spirit. Jesus’ Spirit works within us, empowering us and bringing us peace. This truly is all three Persons of the Godhead working together to bring us soothing and calming peace.
The serenity and tranquillity of our hearts and souls as redeemed believers are assured. We fear nothing from God as we live our lives in righteous obedience to Him.
Oh! The blessed presence and peace of God the Holy Spirit. God’s Spirit dwelling within brings such a sense of contentment. Such an inner feeling of soothing and calming peace. He speaks directly to our hearts, words of love and comfort.
It is difficult at times to picture God the Holy Spirit being the miracle worker that He is. And a miracle worker He is. He calms turmoil and heartache with His words of love. He brings comfort and peace to our troubled world.
At such a time, I picture it in my heart and my mind. The glory of the Holy Spirit shining around the shepherds on the night of Jesus…
