We each have a God who loves us so. He promises never to leave us.
King David, as he penned this uplifting hymn to God. Recalled his boyhood years spent in contentment as a shepherd boy. It wasn’t an easy life for this youth. Tending and caring for his helpless and defenseless flock out in the wilderness. David needed constant alertness. For wolves were always looking for a free and easy meal. He was so familiar with the flock in his charge. David knew each one personally by name.
David, the good and caring shepherd boy. Instantly knew when one of his flock was missing. Leaving the remaining sheep in the care of his workers. He went in search. Not returning until, in his arms, was the missing sheep.
