Our Heavenly Father Holds Us in the Palm of His Hand
Almighty God makes us to shine as brightly as the sun.
In the Palm of Your Hand.
I’d rather be in the palm of Your hand,
Though rich or poor I may be,
Faith can see right through the circumstance.
Sees the forest in spite of the trees,
Your grace provides for me.I’d rather be in the palm of Your hand,
Though rich or poor I may be.
Faith can see right through the circumstance,
Sees the forest in spite of the trees.(The Cox Family, Alison Krauss, 2006)
Introduction. We reach out and take Almighty God’s powerful hand. Almighty God places us safely in the palm of His mighty hand.
Scripture Readings: “Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord, “and not a God far away? Even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. (Palm 139:10, NIV)
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear, I will help you. (Isaiah 41:13, NIV)
Bravely, without fear. Confidently, without thought or concern for tomorrow. We walk daily in the Holy presence of our Heavenly Father. We reach up in love. And take without hesitation God’s hand. We hold tightly the mighty hand of our Father, God. Held faithfully in the palm of Almighty God’s hand. God’s Holy presence is always, always nearby.
The awesome power of God’s righteous right hand. Keeps us safe and secure always. All His beloved children are safe and comforted and at peace. All those who place our complete trust in the One who loves us so. Safe and secure in the mighty and powerful hand of our Almighty God, are we.
Being placed in the palm of the hand of God. Draws us ever so close to our Father. We need not fear the darkness of the night. You and I need not care of the troubles which come in the day. Safe in the palm of God’s hand, always.
Almighty God promises to you and to me.
Scripture Reading: “Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord, “and not a God far away? (Jeremiah 23:23, NIV)
This promise. This reassurance reminds us that God is always near to us. No matter where we are. No matter the time or the season. No matter the circumstance. God and His love and His Holy presence is always near to us.
The miracle. The wonder of the human hand. God created the miracle which is the human hand. For so many purposes. All to be used in love. All for the glory of God.
Scripture Reading: Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground. But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth, so, it returned to Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark. (Genesis 8:8–9, NIV)
Do we stop and ponder? What a miracle is the human hand?
Whenever you and I notice our hand. As we go about our daily chores. Let us, from time-to-time take a moment to thank God for our miracle. For surely a miracle our hands are. For only the human hand can accomplish so much.
We remember. God holds us in the palm of His hand. As do we hold our beloved children. We recall Jesus, the Great Physician touch with love, in tenderness and with compassion. Our Lord’s hands touched and healed so many. We look at our hands as they comfort others. Such miracles they are.
Remember. The same hands that created the entire universe. Also miraculously made the hands which cooked our family’s dinner. You and I think back. The same hands which keep the Earth orbiting our sun. Created our hands to pray. And to play beautiful music in praise and in worship. Yes, now and forever we remember. We praise God the Creator who made the miracle. Which are the human hands.
We pledge. You and I promise to God Almighty. Our hands to be used always in love. Always to be used for the glory of our Heavenly Father. AMEN!

What you and I love about Spring showers. The sun always, always returns to brings us light, warmth and hope. This reminds us. On our showery days. God’s sunshine. Our Father’s love is always there. Just hidden behind the clouds of our sadness and our heartache. The clouds. The showers. The wind. Our showers are only temporary.
I pray. We are the sunshine which brings back God’s love. To other’s showery days of sadness and heartache. Let us be the beauty which brightens the sadness of a lonely and isolated person. Let us be the sun on a gloomy day in a cold hospital ward.
No matter the circumstance. Let us take God’s sunshine with us. Let us warm a cold and lonely heart. With the tender and sweet love of God the Father.
Scripture Reading: And above all this put-on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. (Colossians 3:14, ESV)
All beloved children of our Heavenly Father. Have a duty to shine the light onto all those we meet.
The one and only source of our light and our love. Is God Himself. Almighty God, Himself is our source of life. Our foundation for our faith.
All life on this precious planet, Earth are totally dependent on the sun. All God’s children are totally dependent on God and His love.
God’s life-giving light cannot be ignored. So many times, throughout the Scriptures. We are instructed to shine the light and the love of Almighty God. Onto His sad and dark world.
