Our Hand God Holds. In His Glory We Are Received
God holds our hand in today’s times of meanness, hypocrisy and rampant materialism.
Each day seems a repetition of all others. All news is bad. All our days are long and hard. Is there nobody to hold our hand on our lonely journey of life?
We feel lost and alone. Fighting the good fight and getting nowhere. Always treating others with God’s love and kindness and receiving meanness in return. Bolting our doors and windows, in an attempt to keep out the bad guys. Ads constantly bombard us, screaming at us, telling us what we need. What is wrong with this picture? We are forgetting the One who loves us so much that He promises: “I am continually with you; You hold my right hand.” (Psalm 73:23, ESV)
Psalm 73, A Psalm by Asaph. “God is my Strength and Portion Forever.”
Nevertheless, I am continually with You;
You hold my right hand. (Psalm 73:23, ESV)
Asaph led the musicians in the temple of God. He lived in the times of the Kings David and Solomon. Asaph was present at the opening of God’s temple and lived in the time of Levi. He also served God as a prophet and music teacher.
My Refuge and My Fortress, A Psalm of David
For He will command His angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
