Our Greatest Desire. To Love God with All Our Hearts
Almighty God. Lord of our souls. With every breath we take. We love and worship You.
Reflection. God the Creator made us to love Him with all our love. With every breath we take. We praise and worship Almighty God.
Scripture Reading: Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. (John 4:23, NIV)
Who is it? That gives our lives true meaning. Who is it? We love above all others. Who is it? We crave to be with. Every moment till the end of time. Then with Him in Paradise for eternity. One person. One person only. Our Lord. Our Creator. Almighty God. Our Heavenly Father. We love, worship, and crave to be in His presence — ALWAYS!
At the rising of God’s sun each morning. Our first thoughts. The very first words that pass our lips. Are a silent prayer to our Creator, God. With a loving song of praise and worship to the One who protects and shields us. Begin our day with words of praise and worship. Bring us into the loving presence of the One we love above all others.
We start our day with a deep love for God. With love for God which indeed moves mountains. With love for God so complete. With a love for our Father God so overwhelming. We shine His love into the hearts of those we meet along the way. The love, kindness, compassion, hope and of course the forgiveness of God our Heavenly Father. We share with all those we care for and tend to along our way. God’s sweet and healing love we share in this dark and sad world. We are commanded by God to love others. We do this humbly.
When obeying His command and Holy Law. We are loving our Heavenly Father also. This brings to our hearts such gentle joy and such soothing peace. Loving others is loving our Creator God. For as we love the person in front of us. We are loving one of God’s marvellous creations. For every person is indeed a masterpiece. Created in the image. Made in the very likeness of God our Creator. We are praising God our Creator. By once more obeying His Holy Law.
How do we walk each day in complete obedience?
Scripture Reading: Love the Lord your God by walking in obedience to Him and keeping His commands. (Deuteronomy 6:24–25, NIV)
In the same way as everything else about Almighty God. Before we can obey all of God’s Holy and lawful commands. We have to know and familiarise ourselves with each one. There is only one true source we seek. The Holy Word of God we turn to. As we reach for our somewhat worn Bible. We kneel in prayer before the Heavenly throne of Almighty God. We seek the comfort and the guidance of God, the Holy Spirit. Then we allow Him to guide us to the required Bible texts.
Learning of and about the Holy Law and Commandments of Almighty God. Is indeed a lifetime mission. Obeying these instructions is both mandatory and a joy. Our hearts are filled with such love for our Heavenly Father. As we realize each commandment is put in place. By a God who loves us so. God is love. Each law is written through His love. Each commandment is put in place to protect us from harming one another and ourselves.
As we study each Holy Law and commandment written down by God. We see each one is dedicated to protecting us from harm. For instance,
Scripture Reading: You shall not steal. (Exodus 20:15, NIV)
Just imagine what a wondrous world this would be. If every man, woman and child. Every day of their lives obeyed this simple. Yet ever profound commandment. There would be no wars, no internal conflicts and no houses broken into. If we look into the reason for all the above you will see theft is behind each.
I have come home from vacation. And found my home had been broken into. My TV smashed and a few items stolen. I should not have felt as bad as I did. Everything was covered by insurance. But I felt physically sick that I had been betrayed in this fashion.
Yes, all of God’s Holy Laws are put in place to protect us. God is love. God understands the ways of mankind. God knows without His guidance. We would stray far from Him. God loves us. Almighty God hungers for each of us to stay in His presence. This is the reason God designed and put in place His Holy Law and Commandments. So you and I have a written law to understand and obey.
By memorizing the Ten Commandments. Along with the Two Great Commandments of Jesus. We are armed with the Scripture texts necessary when the Devil tempts us. There is not a temptation that the Devil whispers into our ears. That is not covered in these Holy Laws. When we reply with the Holy Scriptures. The Devil himself and his demons flee. For the forces of darkness cannot exist in the light and the love of Almighty God.
Experiencing the love of Almighty God. Through the Holy Word of God.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7, KJV)
How to experience the outpouring of God’s love? We kneel before the Heavenly throne of God. We open our hearts to the outpouring of God’s sweet and perfect love. We kneel there quietly. Letting the love of Almighty God softly fill every corner of our hearts and souls with His love. When the Devil comes calling with his lies. We answer with the truth of the Holy Word of God. The devil cannot be in the presence of the truth of Almighty God and he flees.
In submitting to God and His Holy Law we are equipping ourselves to face the forces of darkness. Memorising verses from the wondrous Book of Psalms. Gives us songs of praise and worship to fill our life with joy and happiness. Reading the Gospels fills our days with the life and mission of Jesus and His disciples. We have a Book of love. Written by a God who is love. God is love.
This musical rendition will truly touch your hearts.
Hillsong Worship has shared that the song was birthed out of a desire to express complete surrender to God. The song’s writer, Reuben Morgan, has said that he wrote the song during a time of personal reflection and prayer. He wanted to express his heart’s cry to give everything to God and live for Him alone. (A-Z Christian Lyrics Blog)
