Scripture Reading: For with God, nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:37, KJV)

Reflection. We all struggle against a persistent sin.

Scripture Reading: For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. (Romans 7:15–20,KJV)

Chapter seven of the Apostle Paul's Epistle is relevant to all believers.

We love and adore Almighty God more and more each day. It saddens us when our ongoing sins hurt our Heavenly Father. We beg Almighty God for His strength. Our weakness is failing Him. It is through our consistent sin, time and again. Our weakness is hurting God our Father. On our knees, in prayer. We seek God, the Holy Spirit to give us His strength and guidance. We cannot do this alone. We have tried and failed miserably. We have tried and tried. All we seem to do. At times we hurt the One who loves us to the point of death. Yes, Oh! Yes! Almighty God loves each of His children to the death, of His beloved Son, Christ Jesus.

The words Saint Paul spoke to God, we truly understand. In our hearts, we sincerely understand the weakness of our Lord’s beloved Apostle. These words echo in our souls, “I hate, that do I.” We feel the Roman nails hammer into the wrists of our beloved Savior. As we do what we hate to do. Again and again.

The moment the hurt is done. We fall on our knees in prayer. Before the One who truly cares. We once more beg for God’s forgiveness. We love Almighty God with all our hearts and souls. With bitter tears of remorse and regret. We beseech our Lord’s forgiveness.

We are weak. Almighty God is our strength.

Scripture Reading: Seek the LORD and His strength, seek His face continually. (1 Chronicles 16:11, KJV)

How does much Almighty God love us? How much? The Creator of all there is. The Creator of all there ever will be. Loves His children on a personal and intimate level. Our Heavenly Father loves each child. As if each was the only child on Earth. Our Father knows us so deeply. God is with us as we wake early in the morning. God is with us as we pray in the early morning. Praying to God our thankfulness for His protection and companionship throughout the night. God keeps us company throughout the brand-new day. This day is a gift, a blessing from Him.

How does much Almighty God love us? The Master of all. Gave us His Holy Law for our protection and guidance. When we choose to obey God’s law we live in harmony with Him and our fellow man. Such peace we feel in our hearts and souls. When obeying God’s Holy Law. Such protection is gained by obeying God’s law. If only all God’s children obeyed God’s Holy Law. Then we would not hurt God any more. How does much Almighty God love us? Enough love to forgive, forgive and to forgive again.

How does much Almighty God love us? Our Heavenly Father provides for all our needs. Yes, He loves us this much.

God cares for all, even sparrows. Matthew 10:29–31 shows His love and protection. Sparrows might seem small and unimportant, but God pays attention to them. This teaches us not to fear because we are valuable to God.

Scripture Reading: Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 1029–31, KJV)

Do you know the number of hairs on your head? I certainly do not. The wonder. The miracle. The love of our Heavenly Father. God does. Yes, He does! It is not only that God knows the actual number of hairs. It is that God loves us enough to bother counting them and remembering the number.

On this tiny blue planet today. There are billions upon billions of people living now. So many people packed into such a tiny space. So many people. On a speck. When viewed from the vastness of Almighty God’s universe. Who are we, that God should love us so? Who are we? God Almighty loves each person so much. God has counted and remembered the number of hairs on each person’s head. This is how much love God has for each person. God loves each person with His unceasing and unlimited and unbounded love. For you and me, this is truly remarkable. For us, this is worthy of our praise and worship — ALWAYS.

We may, at times doubt our value to Almighty God. We must always remember. He never does.

When those voices tell you that you are misunderstood by everyone, God reminds you that He understands you. When we feel unloved, we are reminded that God loves us deeply and unconditionally. When we are engulfed in shame, God reminds us that Christ took upon our shame on the cross. You are not defined by who the world says that you are. You are defined by who Christ says that you are. In Him is where your true identity lies. (biblereasons.com)

Scripture Reading: You are understood by God.

For the director of music. Of David. A Psalm. You have searched me, LORD, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. (Psalm 139:1, ESV)

The wonder. The miracle. The love of Almighty God. He has searched our hearts to see the love for Him we have. Our response. This reminds us just how deeply and unconditionally God’s love for us truly is. It also reminds us that Christ Jesus paid the price for our sins. Jesus suffered, bled and died in our place. On Christ’s wicked and soul-saving cross. Jesus hung and died in our place. Jesus paid the price for our sins. On His cross. Over two millennia ago.

The song, “Shoulders” is beautifully performed by King +Country.

Shoulders.

I look up to the mountains
Does my strength come from the mountains?
No, my strength comes from God
Who made heaven and earth, and the mountains

When confusion’s my companion
And despair holds me for ransom
I will feel no fear
I know that You are near. (Bing, 06/11/2024)
