His Face They Will See.

Gospel of glory
Illumines the blind,
Out of the darkness
God’s light brightly shines,
Image of God come,
Enlighten our heart,
Face of Christ Jesus,
God’s glory impart. (Will Jeng Irvine)

Introduction. Seeing the bright and glorious face of Almighty God. A Biblical term for a personal and an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Scripture Reading: But” He said, “you cannot see My face, for no one may see Me and live.” (Exodus 33;20, NIV)

It to me seems too amazing to be true. The Creator of all yearns to have a deep and a personal relationship with each of His beloved children. Our Heavenly Father desires for us to love Him so passionately. That God is the center of our heart and the very reason for our existence.

God’s Holy Word tells us that no person can see directly the Holy and glorious face of God and live. Every man, woman and young person who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and their personal Savior will see His face. Each child of God will see face to face their Heavenly Father in the new Heaven and the New Earth.

Scripture Reading: And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.

Why did Yahweh, Almighty God warn Moses on Mount Sinai? No one could see His Holy face and live. Even the Seraphim in Isaiah 6 “covered their faces.” So, brilliant and glorious is the shining light coming from the face of the Almighty One. “Because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.(Romans 3:23, NIV)

Almighty God, our Heavenly Father desires for us to seek His face. Our LORD motivates us into a deep and an intimate relationship with Him.

Scripture Readings: Because you are His sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,” Father. (Galatians 4:6, NIV)

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me.

To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on His throne. (Revelation 3:20–21, NIV)

Do we realize just how blessed and how intensely loved by God we are? You and I are the sons, the beloved children of Almighty God. This is to us the supreme sign of how profound and how personal a relationship God longs for with you and with me.

The Creator of all loves you and I individually. Each and every day of our lives. Our Heavenly Father brings joy to us on our sad days. Laughs and jumps for gladness with us on our days of happiness. Shares moments of heartbreak and brings to us again His peace.

God our Father craves for a full and a loving relationship with each of His children. All we need to do is to open our heart and to obey His Holy Law always.

Scripture Reading: Love and Obey the Lord.

Love the Lord your God and keep His requirements, His decrees, His laws and His commands always. (Deuteronomy 11:1, NIV)

Whatever is trustworthy, noble, good and praiseworthy is righteous and holy before Almighty God. Our Heavenly Father richly blesses all those who genuinely seek His face.

Scripture Reading: For you bless the godly, O LORD; you surround them with Your shield of love. (Psalm 5:12, NIV)

Jesus our Lord, our personal Savior is the epitome of obedience to God His Father. Christ’s obedience so complete and so absolute. It led Him all the way to His cruel and wicked cross.

Reading of and about Jesus Christ our Lord, our Savior in the Gospels. You and I see righteousness in its most Holy and most Sacred form. For Jesus is God the Son. Christ Jesus is in every respect Holy. Christ Jesus, God the Son is perfection, with no fault to be found in Him.

Scripture Reading: He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in His mouth. (1 Peter 2:22, NIV)

Righteousness brings blessing. It brings peace and joy. It is a law of God’s Kingdom, so learning righteousness is a huge investment opportunity, both for this life and for all eternity. (Eunice Ng)

No matter how hard we try, we cannot match God’s perfection. Almighty God made divine plans for this. God designed a plan of love and of saving grace through Jesus Christ.

Through the diligent study of the Holy Word of God, we learn all of and about Jesus. We imitate Him and the love He shows to others. The forgiveness Christ granted to all as He hung on His cross. We show to those who hurt us. The compassion and love Jesus shows to all those in need. You and I show to those around us. Yes, we imitate Jesus in all our words and in all our actions. No, you and I will never be perfect. But, as for me. I will never stop trying.

Then, we follow the lead of Jesus as He taught us to pray to God as our close and intimate Father. We begin each prayer with, “Abba.” Such a gift of love from Almighty God. We are honored to address the Creator of all as “Abba.” Each time I begin a prayer this way. I feel loved, truly loved. I feel God’s promises come true every time. I am His beloved child.

Scripture Reading: I will be a Father to you,
and you will be My sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:18, NIV)

To see the face of God. We need to search honestly our hearts. Find Almighty God there at the center always.

For those who see God’s face. He is to them their very heartbeat. The divine will of Almighty God is as vital to us as the very air we breathe. God and His love are so natural to us. At times we go into auto-drive. God and we seem as natural as life itself. All things are held together by Almighty God and His steadfast love for us.

Acknowledging and keeping God at the center of our hearts. Means our Heavenly Father is part of every action, all our decisions and each word. God’s participation becomes so accustomed to us. He is our invisible partner.

We ask what to do next? Our friend is in trouble. How do we help? We are a little sad. Please, God grant to us your peace. Knowing, neigh believing God is there. Our Heavenly Father is always there. Yes, oh! yes, we see God's loving and glorious face.

Scripture Readings: You make known to me the path of life,
You will fill me with joy in Your presence,
with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. (Psalm 16:11, NIV)

Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers,
and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. (Proverbs 16:20, NIV)

Conclusion. All believers who love Almighty God with all they are and with all they have.

  • And seek their Heavenly Father as the center of their heart.
  • Will truly see God’s loving and glorious face.
