Glorious.

There are times when
You might feel aimless.
And can’t see the places
Where you belong.

It’s like a symphony
Just keep listening.
And pretty soon you’ll start
To figure out your part.

Reflection: Before we were born. Our Creator loved us so. Our God designed and instigated an individual plan for each person.

Scripture Reading: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11, ESV)

Each person is so very loved by the Creator. Each person is intricately interwoven into God’s grand tapestry of creation. Each individual is a musical note in His grand symphony of salvation. Every child in God’s divine family. Each of us is an instrument in His universal opera. When obeyed. Such sweet Heavenly music shall be played. Let us explore how we can play our part.

Indeed, the belief that God has a plan for each of us is a comforting and guiding principle in the Christian faith. The scriptures affirm this truth, weaving together the narrative of each life with threads of purpose, care, and sovereignty 12. (Bing, 01/05/2024)

Indeed you and I have a Sacred plan and a Divine purpose. So very different from all others. Our Creator’s purpose for each person is not a mere accident. Our lives are intentionally designed and uniquely crafted. We have a divine purpose and a sacred plan. These suite the place and the time in which we live. God the Creator placed us where we are. So we would play our part in our Creator’s drama.

God the Creator chose our parents. The Creator chose the time and the place of our birth. Nothing in our lives are left to chance.

Now, consider what was needed to make all this happen. The universe itself needed to be the exact right size, age and complexity for our existence. The same goes for the Milky Way galaxy, our solar system, our sun and all the way down to our planet — EARTH. God the Creator made everything just right for you and I to exist. Now for me. This is designing and planning in perfection.

Scripture Reading: Before I formed you in the womb I knew before you were born I set you apart; (Jeremiah 1:5a, ESV)

It for you and for me is such a comfort. The Creator before we were born. Our Heavenly Father has a purpose. A purpose that help those we love the most. God’s Holy purpose fits nicely with the needs of others. God’s Holy purpose works for the good for all creation. We have a purpose for our lives. Specifically designed by the Creator.

Do we need affirmation? The loving and comforting answer — YES! God’s Holy Word assures every beloved child has a plan designed by God. My plan fits nicely with yours which fits nicely with mine. And so forth.

All God’s people are intricately woven to fit into God’s universal purpose. As individual pieces fit perfectly together. Like a Sacred jigsaw puzzle. We are the Masterpiece. In God’s wonderfully planned and infinitely sized purpose. Each person’s plan fitting exactly with our neighbor’s. When obeyed. Our lives are filled with satisfaction and the love of God.

Scripture Reading: In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth.

And the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:14, KJV)

Let us think of this for a moment. From the moment of creation’s conception. The Creator knew you and I were meant to be. The Creator also knew the Sacred purpose and the Divine plan for us. From the moment of the creation of the very first human. God the Father had our specific purpose and our individual plan in mind. God the Creator also knew how our plans would fit in with the needs for others. This is how great and mighty the Creator surely is.

Before we can obey our induvial plan. We have first discover it. To discover God’s plan in our lives we:

  • Consciously pray.
  • Read the Word of God regularly.
  • Meditate on His truths.

Let us step through these needs.

Consciously pray. In our prayer time with Almighty God. We make time to ask Him consistently what His plans for us are. Then we listen for the still/small voice of God the Holy Spirit to speak to us.

Scripture Reading: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you. (Psalm 32: 8, ESV)

Read the Word of God regularly. As with anything else in our spiritual life. We turn to the Holy Word of God. God Himself will speak to us. Almighty God Himself will guide us. For the Bible is the Word of God. God’s own words written for us to learn of Him. He will guide us. When we search of Him consistently and often.

Scripture Reading: All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (1 Timothy 3:16–17, ESV)

Meditate on His truths. As we go about our daily business. We think of all we have learned both from our prayer time and in our readings.
