Let Go of Pride. God is In Control
In the presence of God. We are complete. God is in Control. We have no fear.
ALMIGHTY GOD IS IN CONTROL. WE ARE SET FREE.
Even when life feels out of control, God is still in control.
God’s plans for you are far greater than your dreams.
God’s love is like an ocean — you can see its beginning, but not its end.
In the middle of the storm, God is there. (THE WONDER OF GRACE OF GOD.com)
Reflection: We are loved—deeply and personally loved. We give control of our lives to Almighty God. We are free to serve and love Him.
Scripture Reading: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11, ESV)
Life is a journey. We travel every day. Courageously and obediently to God Almighty. God designed and built His plan just for you and me. The Holy Spirit is the breeze that takes us to our final destination — Paradise. God’s love is our nourishment. Without which. We would whither and perish. Prayer is the link between God and us. God has provided all we need. We feel the presence of God — ALWAYS. God’s loving presence. Is such a comfort. His presence brings us calming peace.
On our journey to Paradise. All we need to do. Is to be alert for storms and the debris others have cast adrift. Hand control over to God. For He alone knows the course we need to adhere to. Trust in God’s judgment always. It is Almighty God who truly knows what is best for us. It is Almighty God who leads us to greener pastures. It is Almighty God who leads us not into temptation. We place our lives and our faith in the One who loves us so.
Along our way. The devil and His forces of darkness. Will tempt us with many distractions. Offers of sweetness and honey. Offers of calm instead of stormy weather. Don’t listen to Him. Listen only to God. Read only the Holy Word of God and fellow believers. Take into our bodies nothing that is not worthy of God. For our bodies are the temple of God, the Holy Spirit.
Scripture Reading: Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19–20, ESV)
What was the price of God, the Holy Spirit dwelling in the heart of believers?
Because believers have been purchased for God by the blood of Christ, shed on the cross for our sins, our bodies become a living temple where the Spirit of God resides. The image of the believer’s body being a temple is reminiscent of the Old Testament tabernacle, in which the Spirit of God lived. (Christian Truth)
We take this responsibility oh! so seriously. We take nothing in. That may harm our bodies. We eat nothing unhealthy. We do not drink alcohol, excessively. We do not use foul language of hatred. We, oh! we do not use the name of God in vain. We love God Almighty. We are the temple of God, the Holy Spirit. We are!
We are so aware. Those who know us well. They know of our trust and belief in Almighty God. Sadly, many judge God by what we eat and our daily behaviour. This is why it is vital. We treat our bodies for what they truly are. The temple of God, the Holy Spirit.
Our commandment from Almighty God. We are to shine God’s light and His love on to others. Unfortunately, other people judge us by our actions. Much more than they do by our words. When we treat them with the kindness, tenderness, compassion and the love of Jesus. We are reflecting the love of Jesus our Lord.
We share all we have with a neighbour who is doing it tough. We are sharing the love of Almighty God. When we give to a person our last slice of bread and something to go with it. We feed her and her family. As Jesus fed the crowd on the hillside. All we do is a reflection of Almighty God. All we say is a mirror of Jesus. We were made in the image of Almighty God. God, the Creator made us in His very likeness.
Our bodies become the temple of God, the Holy Spirit. A gift from God Almighty. Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord, Saviour and God.
Scripture Reading: In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7, ESV)
The perfect Lamb of God. The precious blood of the Lamb of God. We have received redemption through the precious and perfect blood of the Lamb of God. Do we acknowledge? Do we appreciate it? Do we bow down in praise in the name of Jesus? For this gift of love. For His gift of divine sacrifice.
You and I were lost and alone. We were staggering in the darkness of our sins. Jesus our Lord in His searching. Jesus our Redeemer with His love, found us. Offered us the most wondrous of gifts — salvation.

Laura Bretan’s rendition of “Higher Place.”
The Meaning Behind The Song: “Higher Place.”
The lyrics, combined with the powerful vocals of Laura Bretan. Create a profound emotional experience that transcends time and speaks to the depths of our souls.
Deep down, there is a void. The line, “No distractions under control, yet there’s something missing,” speaks to the universal human experience of feeling incomplete, even when we seem to have everything we need.
The chorus is a plea, a desperate cry for answers and understanding. The protagonist acknowledges their inability to continue living in their current state and begs for their loved one’s understanding and support. They long for a higher place, a realm where they can let go of their pride and truly be themselves. ( Corey Brady, 2024)
