Jesus, the Son of God. Our Lord the Resurrected King
The perfect love of the Lamb of God. The saving grace of Jesus the Resurrected King poured out His love for us.
Reflection. “He is risen.” Three words that changed forever the history of mankind. “He is risen.”
Scripture Reading: But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead, and behold, He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see Him. (Matthew 28:5–7, NIV)
When Jesus rose from the dead, He confirmed His identity as the Son of God and His work of atonement, redemption, reconciliation, and salvation. The Resurrection was a literal, physical raising of Jesus’ body from the dead. (Bible Study Tools Blog)
Jesus our Lord. Jesus the Resurrected King. The resurrection of our Lord Jesus was a physical rising from the dead. The miracle that Almighty God performed. God the Father rose Jesus physically from the dead. Saint Thomas needed convincing. He touched Jesus’ hands. He placed his hands in the side. Where the Roman soldier had pierced with a spear. God Almighty had risen Jesus from death. Jesus is the same now and will be for eternity. His body will be forever scarred because of our sins. His side forever bearing the wound from the soldier’s spear.
Through the precious Gospels, we see the stone has been rolled away. We see the tomb where the body should be. It is now empty. Jesus rose victorious over death. Jesus the Resurrected King walked triumphant from the empty tomb. Jesus’ perfect love poured out on His soul-saving cross for us.
Biblical Atonement through our Resurrected Lord Jesus.
Scripture Reading: Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:22–24, KJV)
Almighty God loves all His people. Our Heavenly Father longs deeply to have a loving fellowship with each of His children. Almighty God is Holy and righteous and cannot be in the presence of sin. Sadly sin has separated each person from the One who loves us, God Almighty. God loves mankind so intensely that He sent to us His beloved Son.
Almighty God provided a means whereby sinful men are reconciled once more with Him. The Atonement of the Resurrected King. Takes away the sins of those who accept and believe in Him. The Atonement of Christ the risen Lord satisfies the price for our sins. The Atonement of the Redeemer saves us from the wrath of God. The Atonement of Christ makes it possible for us to be reconciled with God our Father.
Atonement is the spiritual process by which God provided a means to satisfy the need for a penalty for human sin while still extending mercy to all people. (Christianity.com)
We look closely at the final four words here. “mercy to all people.” Yes, even people who have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord, Savior and God. Unfortunately from time to time still give into temptation and sin. God extends His mercy to us. Jesus the Redeemer extends His atonement to us, also. Paying once more the penalty for our sin. Providing once more reconciliation with our Heavenly Father.
Reconciliation with Almighty God through Jesus Christ our Redeemer.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. (Romans 5:10, KJV)
But through Jesus, we can return to God and, through faith, enjoy eternal life. Jesus offers reconciliation by paying the debt of our sins. He died on the cross for us, which Romans 5:10 explains reconciled us to God, and when we decide to have faith in Him, then we are saved. (Bible Study Tools Blog)
Do you recall Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal Son? The wonderful ending. Where the father put on a party for the return of his wandering son. Well, this is what happens when a lost one returns Home to God. When a sinner confesses her sins to Jesus. Genuinely and honestly repents of her sins. When she humbly falls on her knees. And sincerely accepts Jesus’ offer of salvation.
God our Father in Heaven throws a party. All the heavenly angels sing in celebration. A lost sheep is found. A lost child who was stumbling in her darkness. Is now Home with her Father God. Through the saving grace of Jesus. A lost child is reconciled with her Heavenly Father. All Heaven is rejoicing.
Conclusion. I pray this brief article. Has in some small way opened your heart to the love of our Resurrected King.
Today’s music video is a touching rendition by Nathan Pacheco. Is about our risen Lord Jesus.
Over a year ago, after receiving an email from his brother with the subject line “Currently my favorite Christian rock song,” he became exposed to a song by Kari Jobe that had a deep impact on him. The song is called “ Forever ” and after hearing it for the first time, he knew that he would perform it someday.
Nathan told me: The meaning of the song reached me to the core — that the Lord really had overcome all things.” As he [his baby]was crying, he amazingly felt a sense of peace — a peace beyond all understanding — a peace that only the Lord himself can give us when there seems to be no peace.
It was after that spiritual experience that Nathan knew that he had to perform his version of the song “Forever” and share its powerful message with everyone, realizing that the song had much more meaning than his own story. (Keith L. Brown | Feb 10, 2017)
