MAY THE LOVE OF JESUS, THE GREAT I AM. BE FELT IN YOUR HEART. THROUGH THIS SIMPLE ARTICLE.

Before Abraham Was, I AM

The Israelites at that time and practicing Jews of today revere the name of God (“I AM”) as a precious title that was not to be slandered or given to anyone or anything other than God Himself.

Whenever Jesus made an “I AM” statement in which He claimed attributes of deity, He was identifying Himself as God. (https://passionatelylovingjesus.com)

Reflection. Jesus, the Great I AM. Jesus through whom all creation was made. Jesus our Lord. Loves us.

We are loved. Deeply, personally and intimately loved by Jesus, the Great I AM. Jesus, the Word made flesh. Jesus, God the Son, loves us. How do we know that Jesus, the Great I AM loves us? Because the Bible tells us so. Through the Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, and other Books in the New Testaments. There are scattered many verses telling us of the love of our Lord Jesus.

This article focuses on Jesus’ love for Mary and Martha. And Lazarus the one whom Jesus loved. Jesus, the Great I AM when told of the grave illness of His beloved friend. Delayed His journey. Jesus in His love for this family. Jesus in His devotion to Almighty God. Delayed going to this suffering family for two days. WHY?

Jesus, the Great I AM. Jesus the Son of God. Delayed, believing the illness of Lazarus was not going to lead to his death. Jesus' faith in His Heavenly Father was absolute.

Scripture Reading: So the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, he whom You love is ill.” But when Jesus heard it He said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” (John 11: 3–4, ESV)

Jesus the Great I AM. I AM. The resurrection and the life.

Recognizing Jesus as the I AM is more than an idea; it’s a fundamental truth that influences the core beliefs of Christianity. This truth is deeply rooted in His divine authority. It challenges us to see Him as the everlasting God who entered history to save us all. (https://wordfoundations.com)

After two days. Jesus told his disciples, “Let us go to Lazarus.” The disciples travelled the long journey. When they arrived they found Mary and Martha weeping. For Lazarus had died.

Scripture Reading: When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” (John 11:43–44, ESV)

Reading of this in Saint John’s Gospel. We can picture quite a crowd gathered around Lazarus’ tomb. Many were friends and family. Sharing their grief. Comforting Mary and Martha. Others were there out of simple curiosity. All were there to see what Jesus would do.

Jesus is God the Son. He read the heart of each person in the crowd. Being God. Jesus had the power and the might of Almighty God. Jesus commanded the stone to be rolled away from the tomb. ‘He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.”’

We can picture the amazement and the awe. Perhaps utter shock brought silence to this crowd. Lazarus, still wrapped in his burial cloth. Stepped, alive from his tomb.

This is the reason why Jesus waited two days to come to the home of Lazarus. To show to this family, this crowd and to the world. That He. Jesus, the Great I AM has power over death. Jesus is God the Son. Jesus is God. God never changes. Jesus, the Great I AM. Jesus is the resurrection and the life, still. Jesus has power over death still. By believing in Jesus. Though we may die in this life. We live eternally in the Kingdom of Heaven with Almighty God and His Son, Jesus.

Jesus, the Great I AM. Performed this miracle. For the glory of Almighty God.

Scripture Reading: And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. I knew that You always hear Me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that You sent Me. (John 11:41–42, ESV)

Jesus always did what He did through love for those around Him. Jesus, the Son of God performed this miracle for the glorification of Almighty God. Jesus wanted all those around Him to believe that God answers all prayers. Almighty God sent Jesus to them. It is Almighty God who sends Jesus to you and me.

Did Jesus our Lord, Savior and Redeemer claim to be God?

Scripture Readings: Did Jesus claim to be God? Any fair reading of the Scriptures will lead an honest inquirer to one conclusion and one conclusion only. Yes, Jesus absolutely did claim to be God, and both His allies and His enemies understood this. Let’s consider these five:

Matthew 12:1–14

Matthew 16:13–17

Mark 2:1–12

Luke 20:9–19

John 5:18–23. (Word Foundations)

You and I as true disciples and followers of our Lord Jesus. Have had times in our lives when answered prayers have proved the deity of Jesus. When on bended knees we have prayed to Almighty God that Jesus would heal. Our prayer was answered. Jesus, the Great Physician stepped in and the healing took place. Or it may be our prayer was for the protection of another who was in a place of danger. We asked for Jesus to extend His hand of friendship and safety. Jesus, the Great I Am. Stepped in and our loved one returned home unscathed.

Our lives have been changed because Jesus, the Great I AM loves us and calls to us, “Come.” Where ever Jesus wants us to follow Him, is where we will go.

Conclusion. Jesus, the Great I AM.

The entire universe is testimony to the magnificence and power of Jesus. Jesus is the Creator of all there is. Without Jesus, there would be nothing. When Jesus stated, I AM. He stated. What to me is the most wondrous truth. Jesus is God.

Let us praise the Holy Name of Jesus — ALWAYS!

Prayer to the Great “I AM”

Almighty Son of God, You are the great “I AM.” You are faithful to Your promises. I will not be discouraged because I walk in Your divine presence. I will live in Your strength and courage, for You are my God. I have faith in You and Your word because I know that Your word never fails. I thank You for the many promises You have spoken over my life, and I place my trust in You. Amen. (https://www.powerfulchristianprayers.com)

“Because I Am.” He who believes in Jesus the Lord. Though he may die. May live eternally. Jesus is the Great I AM.
