MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY DEAR READERS! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Scripture Reading: For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 ESV)

Reflection. Jesus the babe whose manger was His throne.

At Christmas time, nativity scenes are displayed in many shop windows, church gardens, and private homes. These scenes feature small ceramic representations of the blessed family. Among this familiar scene is a tiny manger, where the baby Jesus was placed. With His mother Mary and Joseph lovingly looking down. In our minds, we picture Mary picking up her baby boy. Mary placed a tender kiss on the face of God.

Do we know the true significance of the manger throne of Jesus the Messiah? What does the manger, symbolise for those who love the Christmas story? Jesus Christ our Lord is God the Son. Yes, Jesus is God with all the power and supremacy this invokes. Jesus shared the power and the majesty with His Father.
