Jesus Tells Us of His Love. We Believe. Oh! Yes! We Believe
Even in our darkest hour. Jesus speaks to our hearts of His love. We Believe. Oh! Yes! We Believe.
Reflection. The love between God the Father and His Son Jesus is profound and eternal. Jesus loves us with this love. We remain in His love forever.
Scripture Reading: John 15:9 states, “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love.” This verse emphasizes the love of God for believers and encourages them to stay connected to that love. It highlights the importance of abiding in Christ to bear spiritual fruit. (Emma Danzey, Bible Study Tools Blog)
Saint John relays to us the lesson from Jesus our Great Teacher. Unless a branch remains firmly attached to the host tree. It quickly withers and dies. In other words, if we as followers of Jesus our Lord. Do not remain in His love. Our spiritual life quickly withers up and dies. We need to constantly stay connected to Jesus and His never-ending love
How do we remain in Jesus? How to stay connected to His sacrificial love? We have had times when Jesus’ love is so very real. We melt in His embrace. His peace is so calming. We do indeed move our mountain of concern into the sea of His love.
We yearn to remain today, for the rest of our lives and eternity in Jesus’ love. How to do this? We have always spent much time reading of and about Jesus in His Gospels. We read of and about the love Jesus has for us. The love Jesus pours into our hearts is simply amazing. You and I believe. Oh! Yes! We believe Jesus never. Not for a moment stops loving us.
Yet there are times when we are not aware of this wondrous and soul-filling love. There are moments when we feel so alone and lost. This is when we reach for, read and memorize verses from Jesus’ Gospels. These are the times we kneel before the Heavenly throne of our Father God. We pray for the love of Jesus to be felt in our hearts again. We pray and we believe.
Jesus spends time with His disciples. Jesus loves each one individually. Jesus’ love for each of His friends is deep, kind, compassionate and true. Jesus' love is Agape love. Love that places the other person first — ALWAYS. Jesus’ love is sacrificial — to the point of death on His cross. We read of Jesus’ love for His disciples in the Holy Word of God.
Our Lord’s love for us has grafted us back onto Him. We were the fallen branch. We broke away from Almighty God and His never-ending love. Jesus picked us up and grafted us back to the love of our Father God. Christ’s love for each of His followers saves and restores. We faced death brought about by our sins. Jesus’ Agape love reconciles us and unites us with our Heavenly Father.
Scripture Readings: We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19, ESV)
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7, ESV)
Yes, this is how much Jesus our Lord loves us. We remain in His love. Through reading of and about Him in the Holy Word of God. We stay connected to Jesus. By kneeling before the heavenly throne — OFTEN. We feel the love of our Lord. Every day we are wrapped in the love of Jesus. Of course, in our prayers. We thank Jesus for His love and His kindness toward us — EVERY DAY.
It is such a wondrous way to live. To remain connected to our Lord Jesus. To be aware of Jesus and His presence every waking hour of our lives. As we remain in the shining light of Jesus’ love. We also shine His love and His light into the hearts of others. The people we meet see the love of Jesus in our eyes. The people we tend to and care for. Hear the love of Jesus in our words. Our family and friends see our love for Jesus as we read the Bible together. Yes, the light and the love of Jesus are beamed into the hearts of those we meet on our path of faith.
Conclusion. We praise the Holy Name of Jesus our Redeemer. Forever and ever more.
As the branches of Jesus and His love. We stay firmly connected to Him. We remain in and with Jesus all our days. For we believe. Oh! Yes! We believe. Without Jesus as our personal Lord, Savior and God. We are nothing. Without Jesus, we fall to the ground and wither and die. Without the sacrificial love of Jesus. We stumble around in the darkness of our sins. Without the saving grace of Jesus. We face separation from our Heavenly Father for eternity.
Agape Love Defined
One important aspect of agape love is that it extends beyond emotions. It’s much more than a feeling or sentiment. Agape love is active. It demonstrates love through actions. (Jack Zavada, 4th January 2021)
“You Say” is a song by American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter Lauren Daigle.
Certainly! The song “You Say” by Lauren Daigle holds a powerful message about identity and faith. It was written during a time when Lauren felt overwhelmed and things were getting away from her. The song became her anchor, reminding her that even in weakness, God is strong. Lauren wanted to bring this truth into her everyday life, and the song serves as a reminder for anyone facing similar struggles. (Bing, 05/08/2024)
