Jesus, our Lord Forgives with His Powerful Love
Jesus Christ sees us for who we are. God’s powerful love frees us from our prison of sin.
His Mercy is More.
Stronger than darkness, new every morn
Our sins they are many, His mercy is moreWhat riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment, His life was the cost
We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many, His mercy is more (praise the Lord.)(Matt Papa, 2020)
Introduction. Forgiveness is an act of divine and supreme LOVE. Forgiveness is an act of SACRIFICE. Forgiveness sets us FREE. Forgiveness gives us life — ETERNAL LIFE.

Scripture Reading: They spit on Him, and took the staff and struck Him on the head again and again. (Matthew 27:30, NIV)
Our Lord, Christ Jesus forgave those mocking and cruel Roman soldiers. As they hammered in those wicked nails into His ankles and His wrists. Our Lord loves and forgives. Over and over you and forgives me.
We always must remember. God’s. Jesus’ love and forgiveness are not based on merit. For you and I can never earn nor deserve His love or His forgiveness. We also are the ones who spit on His glorious face. We too hammer in those Roman nails. Yet in His mercy and through His love. Jesus our LORD, our Saviour, our God. Forgives and loves us still.
Jesus’ love is our saving grace. Jesus is our salvation. Christ sets us free from our prison of sin. Our Lord gives us eternal life.

Saint Paul in his letter to the early Christians in Corinth. Tells that sincere and genuine love for one another. Entails that we forgive all those who sin against us. With the love of God. That we forgive each harm done to us. We bear no grudges. We harbor no contempt for those who have hurt us.
In other words. You and I forgive all those who have sinned against us. As Jesus has forgiven us . Completely and with the love of God.
Can we love and forgive as Jesus does?? YES!! Because we have God, the Holy Spirit abiding within. He will give us the strength and the courage needed as and when needed to do so.
Scripture Reading: Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. (1 Corinthians 3:16–17, NIV)
When we look at forgiving others through the heart of Jesus. We also see forgiveness as a soothing and a calming balm. A peace-giving balm that crosses all barriers. A soothing balm that recognizes no boundaries. Forgiveness does not discriminate. Skin color matters nothing. Nor does age, sex or social status. All that matters in love and in forgiveness is what is in our hearts.
The healing and soothing balm of Jesus’ love and His forgiveness.

abounding in love to all who call to You. (Psalm 86:5, NIV)

Reading of Jesus weeping in His garden of Gethsemane on the eve of His crucifixion. We realize our Lord knows more than, we ever will of sadness and heartache. Unfortunately sadness and trials are all too common experiences for us.
We are loved, truly and forever loved by Jesus Christ our Savior. Because He suffered and lived through being separated from Almighty God. Jesus completely understands our sad and lonely times.

Now we’re royalty
We were the prisoners
Now we’re running free.We are forgiven accepted
Redeemed by His grace
Let the house of the Lord
sing praise.(Phil Wickham)
Our Lord Jesus loves and forgives us as we forgive others.
Love and forgiveness go together for me. Like a chocolate cake and chocolate frosting. Each complete in of itself. But, oh! so much tastier. When combined. Yes? When you genuinely forgive a person who has done you harm. With sincere and pure love.
WOW! Another mountain has leapt into the ocean. Our load has been lifted. Our pain has been healed. Once more the love and the forgiveness of Jesus has worked its miracle. The soothing and calming balm of forgiveness. Has once more brought to us, peace.
The relationship between love and forgiveness. Our Lord Jesus’ love and His ever-lasting forgiveness.
Love and forgiveness. When combined are irresistible forces. Divine and supernatural forces. That when used wisely change us for the better. Forgiveness and love when combined bring about positive changes in society and throughout the world.
When every soldier. In every army loves and forgives their enemies. Wars and conflicts cease. Wars and conflicts a mere — a distant memory.
Love and forgiveness. When combined indeed shall create miracles. In the name of Jesus peace shall rule the world.
Love is the all encompassing medicine. Forgiveness is the empowering tool.
