What A Beautiful Name is Jesus.

What a beautiful Name it is, what a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King.
What a beautiful Name it is, nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is, the Name of Jesus.

You didn’t want Heaven without us
So Jesus, You brought Heaven down.
My sin was great, Your love was greater
What could separate us now?

( Brooke Fraser ,2015)

Reflection. Jesus our beloved — Holy LORD. His Name is to be revered. For who He is and what our LORD has done for us.

Philippians 2:9 Inspirational Images (knowing-jesus.com)

Scripture Reading: Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in Heaven, and of those on Earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9–11, NKJV)

In loving devotion to Jesus our LORD. In true reverence to the Holy Name of Jesus. We speak His Name as Holy and above all other names — ALWAYS. Why?? The Holy Name of Jesus is filled with the glory. The power and the authority of Almighty God. Jesus is God the Son. Jesus Christ is the beloved Son of our Heavenly Father. The Gospels speak of Jesus’ fellowship with the Father. It goes without question. The Holy Name of Jesus holds such tremendous authority and mighty power.

Jesus is the Name above all names because of His obedience, humbleness, and His work of dying on the cross for the salvation of all mankind1.

According to (Philippians 2:9–11) God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him the Name which is above every name2.

This means that Jesus’ Name is the greatest name of all, and He is Lord over all.

Ultimately, Jesus’ Name is superior to all other names.

As He is the Lord, Redeemer, and Savior of our souls1. (Bing Search, 15/04/2024)

Jesus’ authority as God the Son.

In the Gospel of Saint Matthew. Jesus powerfully demonstrates His sacred and divine authority. Firstly, Jesus as the Word has sacred and divine authority over the Scriptures. Christ’s teachings were so different. From those of the religious leaders of His times.

When Jesus, as a Rabbi stood up to teach in the synagogues and the temples. When He taught the crowds at the lakes sides and in the small boat. Jesus’ teachings were not mere repetition. Or readings from Holy Scrolls. Jesus taught with the authority of who He is. Jesus is the Word.

This can be seen. As He drew thousands upon thousands of people. Far from and from near. To hear and to learn from this Rabbi. Because Jesus taught and spoke with the voice of One with divine and sacred authority. Jesus surely is the Messiah. The One spoken of by the Prophets. A prime example Jesus’ teachings. Is the wondrous Sermon on the Mount. (Refer to Matthew 5–7)

For instance, in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7), the crowds were amazed at His teaching because He spoke with authority, unlike their regular teachers of the law1. (Bing Search, 15/04/2024)

Saint John uses the Greek word “logos.” When showing us Jesus was with God at the very beginning of the creation. John’s statement may very well be the clearest in all Scriptures. Saint John tell his readers.

Scripture Reading: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1, NKJV)

For you, me and, all faithful disciples of Jesus. No clearer statement is needed.

Jesus’ Holy Name has the power and the authority to heal.

Jesus our LORD, our God. Jesus’ Holy Name also has the power and the authority to heal. In Matthew’s Gospel we read of a Roman Centurian. Who through his faith in Jesus. Had his request for the healing of his servant fulfilled.

This person of quite high authority himself. Recognized the value of power and authority. This Roman soldier also acknowledged Jesus’ power and authority far outweighed his own. This man appreciated Jesus as a person of greater power and divine/sacred authority.

Jesus’ Holy Name has the power and the authority to forgive our sins.

We praise the Holy Name of Jesus. The Name above all others. The Name which forgives all sins. The name which reconciles us with God the Father. Praise Jesus Christ our Savior — ALWAYS.

His Name is a balm for the wounded, a light in the darkness, and a beacon of hope for the lost.

It is in His Name that we find redemption, forgiveness, and eternal life. (Daniel, Prayer Warrier, Daily Effective Prayer Blog)

Conclusion. You, I and, all Christendom praise the Holy Name of Jesus.

  • On our knees before the Holy Throne of Jesus our LORD, our God, our Savior, our Great Physician.
  • We pray our thankfulness.
  • We sing our praise to His Holy Name.
  • Jesus’ Holy Name has the power and the authority;
  • To heal, to teach and to preach and to forgive.
