In this New Year. We Give Jesus Our Praise and Worship

The past is where it belongs. Behind us. The future is where it belongs. In God’s hands.

WE ARE LOVED BY JESUS. LET US LOVE HIM IN RETURN

Doth not all nature around me praise God? If I were silent, I should be an exception to the universe. Doth not the thunder praise Him as it rolls like drums in the march of the God of armies? Do not the mountains praise Him when the woods upon their summits wave in adoration? Doth not the lightning write His name in letters of fire? Hath not the whole earth a voice? And shall I, can I, silent be? (Charles H. Spurgeon)

Are we in every prayer? In each moment of our day. Praising and exalting the Holy Name of Jesus. Are we? We sing merrily along with God’s universe. Jesus’ praise. To the Holy Name of Jesus, we bow in worship. Music and song are gifts of God. Let us use them. To praise and worship Jesus our Lord and God.

Almighty God placed our Lord higher than any other. God has commanded that we should bow our knees in praise in the name of our Lord Jesus. But, do we? Do we with every breath, praise and thank Him for His love?

I am for one. Trying my very best. To praise Jesus in words, actions and in my prayers. For I remember. I always remember. Jesus is God the Son. Jesus is God. I owe Him my eternal soul. I was lost in the darkness of my sins. He gave to me the most precious of gifts. Jesus gave to me — salvation. There is not a moment that goes by that I do not thank Jesus for this gift. For without this wondrous gift. I would still be stumbling alone in the darkness. I would be alone and lost.

Jesus searched and searched for me. His little and lost sheep. Jesus called to me.

I answered. I confessed my sins to Almighty God. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior, Redeemer and God. The blood of the perfect Lamb of God washed my sins away. Afresh and new. I walk with Jesus every moment of each day. Yes, I praise and worship Jesus’ holy name. Don’t you?

Scripture Reading: Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in Heaven and on Earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9–11, ESV)

Do we know how much Jesus loves us? To learn how much He loves us. We search the Holy Word of God.

Scripture Readings: You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life, and it is they that bear witness about Me. (John 5:39, ESV)

I made known to them Your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them, and I in them. (John 17:26, ESV)

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (1 John 4:16, ESV)

Almighty God gave us the most wondrous of gifts. God gave us the Holy Scriptures. The Holy Bible was written by God about God. The Bible contains the life and ministry of God the Son, Jesus. It is by reading and studying the Holy Word of God. That we learn of and about our Lord. The Bible tells us of the life of Jesus. How He lived. Who He was. The Bible tells us of some of the healings and miracles Jesus performed. The Bible tells of the teachings and the lessons He told to the crowds and His disciples. This and so much more.

The Holy Word of God fills our hearts and minds with Jesus and His love. This book of books. Is our source for the truth and the light of Jesus. If we have questions. We pray to Almighty God. He allows God the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us. God’s Spirit helps us understand. That without Him would be far beyond us. We sit quietly with God’s word. Soaking up the love of Jesus. Reading of His love for those who could not help themselves. Reading of His compassion. When His beloved Apostles fell asleep in His garden of sorrows — Gethsemane. Reading of His love. As He tells of the lost sheep that was found. This sheep was you and me. Reading of ….

Then, of course, there are the verses about hope. The hope that Jesus alone can bring.

Scripture Reading: For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. (Romans 8:24–25, ESV)

I believe in the hope that Saint Paul wrote in the verses above. Is the hope of our salvation. The hope is that as adopted children of God. We abide daily with God in the Kingdom of Heaven. The hope for a brighter future. That is when this mortal life comes to a close. We are escorted by God’s angels to Paradise. Where Almighty God is waiting patiently for us. The hope is that we shall spend eternity with God. We shall sing praises and worship the Holy Name of Jesus forever and forever more. This is the hope that Saint Paul is speaking of.

Every moment of our journey of faith. We wait patiently and with all the love we have in our hearts. For the day when we step into Paradise.

Conclusion. Till then we praise and worship the Holy Name of Jesus.
