In God’s Presence We Abide Always
In God’s presence we find love. True and everlasting love.
Abide with Me.
I need Thy presence every passing hour;
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter’s pow’r?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies;
Heav’n’s morning breaks, and earth’s vain shadows flee;

Today’s Reflection and First Section is written by a dear friend, Davies Balkan.
Reflection. In God’s Presence We Abide Always.
The presence of God is a powerful force. Many people turn to [Almighty God]* for comfort, guidance, and strength in times of need. When we abide in God’s presence. We experience a sense of peace and security that surpasses all understanding.
Through prayer, meditation, worship, and reading the Holy scriptures. We deepen our connection with God. We experience His presence even stronger in our lives. Spending time in God’s presence allows us to tap into His infinite wisdom and [His unceasing] love. God guides us through life’s challenges and helps us to overcome obstacles.
In the Bible, we see numerous instances of people who sought out God’s presence. [These saints] were transformed by their encounter with Him. Moses, for example, spent time on the mountain with God. He received the Ten Commandments and conversed with [Almighty God] directly. David wrote many of the Psalms while in the presence of God. Pouring out his heart to Him in praise, thanksgiving, and lament.
In the New Testament, Jesus promised His disciples that He would always be with them. Even though He would be physically leaving them. [Jesus] encouraged them to abide in Him, just as a branch abides in a vine. In order to bear fruit and glorify God (John 15:1–8).
Scripture Reading: I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in Me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples. (John 15:5–8, NIV)
The Holy Spirit was also given to believers. As a constant source of comfort and guidance. Helping us to abide in God’s presence even when we are facing difficult circumstances.
When we abide in God’s presence, we are reminded of our true identity as children of God. Created us in His image and loved with an everlasting love. We trust in His goodness and faithfulness, even when life seems uncertain or challenging. We find rest and refuge in His presence. Believing He is always with us and will never leave us or forsake us.
Scripture Reading: Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4, NIV)
In conclusion, the presence of God is a powerful and transformative experience. One we cultivate through prayer, meditation, worship, and reading the scriptures.
By abiding in His presence, we tap into His infinite wisdom and love. And find strength to face life’s challenges with faith and hope. May we always seek to abide in God’s presence, knowing that He is with us always, even to the end of the age.

The burning question for all of us. How do we enter God’s Holy presence.
Scripture Readings: And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14, ESV)
Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. (James 4:10, ESV)
The intimacy of prayer. The invitation by Almighty God. For us to enter His Holy presence. God our Heavenly Fathers bestows on us a glorious blessing. Prayer is this blessing. Deep and honest prayer is a gift from the One who loves us so.
Prayer for us is one of the most personal experiences we share with our Heavenly Father. We share with God our times of happiness and moments of pure joy. We believe in our tender hearts our Heavenly Father is smiling down from His Heaven. You and I share our moments of crisis with our God. In prayer and in supplication we share our moments of sadness. Opening our hearts to the One who truly understands. We pour out our hearts to Him. In days of sunshine and in times of darkness. We pray to our Heavenly Father. Believing. Always believing. God is only just a prayer away. Almighty God is always just a personal and an intimate prayer away.
Praying to Almighty God in a genuinely honest manner. May be a little frightening at first. Coming into the Holy brilliance of Almighty God. Allows us to see ourselves as God perceives us. We see all our imperfections. It is at first quite difficult. We can no longer hide in the shadows. But, oh! such relief. Such peace is found when we seek forgives. Such comfort is found when forgiveness is granted.
Scripture Reading: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9, NIV)
Once we have found the courage to love God this much. Once we have been forgiven of all sin. We gain entrance to the Holy and loving presence of Almighty God. You and I abide once more in the loving presence of the one who created prayer. We live for now and for eternity in the Holy presence of our Heavenly Father. We pray never to be separated from Him again. Never again to separated from the One who loves us so.
Prayer is also our gentle reminder life is a continuous journey with God our Father. Our lives are a spiritual adventure. God the Holy Spirit is our guide, mentor and our strength. God’s Spirit is within us providing us the strength and the courage to walk in the presence of God — ALWAYS.
Guided at all times by God the Holy Spirit. We grow in God’s Holy work and do not linger until His work is complete.
