Importance of Prayer Time with God
The Importance of Prayer Time Keeping Us Close to Our Heavenly Father!
Behold the importance of prayer,
It goes beyond the norm,
Mankind is blessed when made aware
Of lives it can transform…
Eternal life and healings, too,
Prayer changes everything…
God wants to hear from me and you!
By faith, talk to the King! Denis MartindaleThe Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. Psalm 145:18
In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached His ears. Psalm 18:6
Do you realize that to God your Heavenly Father you are the most important person? The most important person He ever created. He longs for. God your loving Father yearns to stay close to you.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29–31
Our daily devotional time. Our time of quiet communication and peaceful connection with God. Our time when we seek in prayer His Holy presence. This is the time when God comes, oh! so close to us.
When we routinely schedule time in our busy lives for Him. When we don’t let our busyness get in the way of our closeness with our Lord. With our heart’s most burning desire. This is the time when God welcomes us. This is the time when God listens. Truly listens!
When we quietly and hungrily seek His Holy and Comforting presence. We find He is there. He is oh! so close. We feel His presence deep within. His Holy Spirit stirs quietly within our spirit. Bringing us more alive somehow. His Spirit brings alive our love for our Father.
We are stirred by the ‘still, small voice’ of His Spirit. To utter words of worship, praise and thanksgiving. To the One who is the Source of all our blessings, gifts and Heavenly love. “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, Whom you have from God? You are not your own,” (1 Corinthians 6:19)
When we discipline ourselves to turn to our loving, generous and forgiving Father. We also search His Word. As if it is our very means of survival. We seek our Father’s guidance through His Scripture. It is His gift to us. To learn from each and every day. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35)
When we search, meditate and even teach others through God’s Word. We grow ever closer to God. He, in such wondrous, loving and amazing ways comes ever closer to us.
Can we ask for any more from our life than this? That each day is a day where we spend time in God’s loving presence. Through peaceful and comforting prayer time. That every day is a day where lessons and mercies are shown through God’s own Word.
God our Heavenly Father, through our prayer time with Him. Breaks through all the barriers that our busyness put in place. God’s love for us brings Him so close. As God, the Holy Spirit. He dwells within our spirits. As our Comforter and Helper. God’s fulfilment of His eternal promise, that He will,
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26
The most important times of each day are: Times spent in prayer time. When we are close to God our loving Father. When our Father is even closer to us. “Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will hear you.” (Jeremiah 29:12)
Time is used to study, meditate, memorize and be thankful for God’s Word. Words and verses that have been memorized. Are our armour and tools in times of heartache and sadness? Beautiful and melodious hymns of praise and worship. Can be sung in times of happiness and joy. There is not an event, an emotion or a time in our lives that cannot be celebrated with God’s Word.
Do we realize how amazing it is? That God our Father created prayer time as our means of personal communication with Him. Consider this for a moment, if you will. God the Creator of everything there is. And us. Like tiny ants. On an insignificant blue dot. Floating in an immeasurable — immense — ever-expanding universe. Do you get my meaning?
COMPARED TO GOD?
Looking at it from the perspective of God. God is Love! We are created in His image. Now, that is something. You and I are created in His image. We are truly significant to our Heavenly Father. We all are created in the image of God the Father. We are wonderfully. We are awesomely created in the image of the Creator God.
Now, I for one want to say THANK YOU!
Now, God has greatly in His wisdom. Through His love for each and, every one of us created us in His image. So, for me, it goes without saying. That our loving Father has also given us a personal way to communicate with Him.
This way. This connection to our Father is our prayer time. Indeed, this is why our prayer time is essential. Building prayer time into our life of faith, trust and love for God. Is oh! so important. Maybe one of the most important elements of our life of faith. “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:16b)
Our prayer time proves to God how we value Him. Where we place Him of value in our lives. Is He the first person we think of each morning? Is a short prayer of thanksgiving, our very first words each morning?
Is God central to our thoughts and actions during the day? Do we pause? Not allowing our busyness to get in the way. Do we remember special words and verses from God’s Word when dealing with friends and colleagues?
Do we give thanks at the start of all meals? Remembering, many, oh! so many are starving. Do we pray regularly for these little ones? Do we remember at the close of each day? That it is our Heavenly Father that has blessed us with all these gifts.
Do we remember that God our Father gave us this day? That He created us in His image. The amazing and free gift of time in His presence is a blessing and a gift of love. Do we remember He is and always will be the most important person in our lives? The most valued person in our lives.
Remember. Always remember. We are so important to God. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
We can show God glory and honour in such a precious way. “pray without ceasing,” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Fellowship with our Lord. Companionship with our Heavenly Father refreshes our hearts. Our whole being is refreshed and afire with God’s love.
God’s Holy Word speaks of the many, many times that Jesus Christ our Lord spoke to His Father. The Holy Scripture tells how Jesus, God the Son, drew close to His Father in quiet times of prayer. Jesus our Lord. Jesus our personal Saviour. Jesus our personal and perfect example. Shows us the need to pray each day to God. Jesus, Himself needed God’s guidance and companionship.
Therefore, we as Christ’s sisters and brothers. We as the beloved and adopted children of God. Need to spend time in prayer. We need to ask our loving Father for His love, and tender care, ask for forgiveness, and to show our gratitude.
Prayer time with God is the connection that He lovingly provided.
God loves you and He always will!
