How He Loves Me. Jesus Loves Us
The love of our Heavenly Father poured out onto us. Jesus is love which is people centered.
How He Loves!
And He is jealous for me,
Love’s like a hurricane, I am a tree.
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy
When all of a sudden
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.And, oh, how He loves us, oh,
Oh, how He loves us,
How He loves us all.(John Mark Mcmillan)
Introduction. We make our lives God-centered. Every day, each moment is lived to please and to obey our Lord Jesus.
Scripture Reading: Walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Ephesians 5:2, NIV)
Each and every day. We walk in Christlike love. Every moment is a true and genuine reflection of Jesus and His love for others. When you and I show sincere compassion to a friend who is a little sad. We are once more walking with Christlike love.
Each time we put our own interests last and love another first. Jesus’ love abides in our heart. Jesus’ love, kindness and tenderness touch those we care for. As we imitate Jesus. We grow each day in the love of Jesus. As our dependence on Jesus deepens. Our Christlike love shines onto each person we care for. Jesus’ love shines through us and touches those around us.
Christlike love. What is the true meaning of “walk in love?” Walk in Christlike love.
Scripture Readings: For I trust in You,
Teach me the way in which I should walk,
For to You I lift up my soul. (Psalm 143:8, NIV)And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (Colossians 3:14, NIV)
“Walk in love” is Jesus’ “call to action” for all His disciples. As we read the Gospels. You and I appreciate the magnitude of walking in the love of Jesus. For this exactly was Jesus’ ministry. Our Lord and His disciples literally walked from town to town. Christ preached the Gospel, the good news of the Heavenly Kingdom of God.
Scripture Reading: If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in His ways, and by keeping His commandments and His statutes and His rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. (Deuteronomy 30:16, ESV)
By obeying God’s Holy Law and loving Jesus with all our heart God commanded us to. We truly are walking in the love of Jesus all the days or our lives.
Walking in the love of Jesus. Is to have a Biblical mindset focused entirely on obeying Christ’s two Great Commandments. A lifestyle which has as its core center Jesus at all times. Our whole life is to walk in the love of Jesus. And to put this love into practice by serving all those around us.
We, always follow the perfect example of Jesus. In all we say and every word we speak. When we love Jesus with all our heart. You and I willingly give of ourselves completely to Jesus and to others. Our faith in Jesus and our love for Him must and is absolute.
What does God’s Holy Word say about walking in Jesus’ love? How does this bring hope into our lives?
Scripture Reading: For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. (Hebrews 4:2, NIV)
Walking in love with Jesus brings our lives an intimacy. A sincere feeling of togetherness. A promise of never, never being alone. A sense of everlasting hope. For Jesus, our Lord is always just a heartbeat from us. Christ is just a prayer away.
Our intimacy with Jesus grows and blossoms. As we learn of and about our Lord. Getting to know of Christ through diligent Bible study daily. Hungrily seeking Jesus out in the pages of our somewhat worn-out Bible.
The Holy Word of God reveals to you and to me. Jesus our Lord and how to consistently walk in His love. Unless we are thoroughly grounded in who Jesus is. And familiar with all His teachings and His Great Commandments. Our intimacy with Jesus and our companionship with Him will stagnate.
When we take a great big look at the focus of Jesus’ ministry. It has one core topic — LOVE. Love connects all Jesus says, does and prays for. We, as Jesus’ followers, have LOVE as our focal point. Love for Jesus and for others. Is the basis of all we do and every word we speak.
Scripture Readings: Let all that you do be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14, ESV)
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:11, ESV)
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:18, ESV)
We see Jesus and His disciples going from town to town. Preaching the good news of the Heavenly Kingdom of God. As Jesus traveled, He healed all manner of diseases and sickness. Jesus touched with love all those around Him.
You and I as true followers of Jesus. Love as Jesus loved. We walk in the footsteps of our Lord. We, tenderly and with kindness care for all those around us.
