God’s Gift of His Holy Spirit — Jesus’ Legacy!
… and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5
Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. 2 Corinthians 5:5
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of truth. John 14:16–17a
God Almighty. God the Son. Jesus Christ who became Man. Chose to die in your place. Replaced the crown of Heavenly sovereignty with the crown of thorns. Jesus your beloved Saviour. He did it just for you.
The night before Christ’s crucifixion in the upper room. Jesus tells His beloved disciples of His imminent death and resurrection. Of His return to His Heavenly Father. The hearts of Jesus’ disciples are breaking. Sadness is their unbearable companion. Darkness fills their souls and their hearts.
Jesus as God Almighty reads their hearts. Feels their sorrow. Shares their pain. He now makes a promise that changes the world. Leaves a legacy that changes forever the future of all believers.
