Jesus’ sole purpose on earth was to become our salvation. To obey His Father’s plan laid out before the beginning of time. He is our Lord, Jehovah. He is also our Saviour.
Jesus stepped down from eternity. Left the presence of His loving Father. Stepped into the womb of a young woman, Mary. He who was outside time. He who was outside material existence. Who is Jesus? Why is He so Important? Born in humble circumstances. Jesus at birth both God the Son. Yet, also humbled Himself to become flesh. Become mortal. God incarnate. God Almighty with infinite power and wisdom. Now felt the discomfort of human pain, misery, loneliness, sadness, hunger and thirst.
