God’s Loving Presence Entered Through Persistent Prayer
Consistent prayer. The key to God’s Holy presence.
The most Holy and necessary practice in our spiritual life is the presence of God. That means finding constant pleasure in His divine company, speaking humbly and lovingly with Him in all seasons, at every moment, without limiting the conversation in any way. (Brother Lawrence)
Introduction. Let us enter into God’s Holy presence in prayer and with love. Walking with Almighty God fills our life with joy and gladness.
Scripture Reading: You make known to me the path of life,
in Your presence there is fullness of joy,
at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11, ESV)
As you and I enter into the loving and Holy presence of the Sovereign and Almighty God. We are comforted and surrounded by His unfailing and unceasing love. God is LOVE. God never changes.
Scripture Reading: Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8, ESV)
For I the LORD do not change, (Malachi 3:6a, ESV)
God is LOVE. He desires nothing more than to shower His love on to all of His chosen people. You and I are created to love God our Heavenly Father with all we are. Every moment of our life is spent loving and praising Almighty God. For this is how much our Father loves us.
Scripture Reading: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, ESV)
God is LOVE. What does this mean to you and to me??? God is LOVE. In His presence all troubles and stress are washed far away. We are embraced in His outstretched arms. You and I are comforted in God’s welcoming embrace. God is LOVE. There is absolutely nothing or nobody that can part us from His love.
You and I wake up each morning loved, truly loved. Eagerly we reach for the Holy Word of God. Grateful for the peaceful slumber granted to us under God’s protective wings. We bow our heads in silent prayer. With the helpful guidance of God, the Holy Spirit. We open our Bible, searching for our purpose for the brand-new day.
God is LOVE. We owe to Him our daily service. In our prayer we humbly ask for guidance and the strength to serve. What a blessing it is to wake each morning in the presence of our loving Heavenly Father, God.
Prayer is our key of love. Our Connection to the Creator of all there is and ever will be. Our experience of the presence of God Almighty.
Scripture Reading: Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, ESV)
God is LOVE. Do we realize what a precious gift prayer is??? Have we formed a habit of consistent prayer throughout our day? As you and I wake each morning. Is praise and thanksgiving to God our first thoughts???
Scripture Reading: I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His righteousness,
and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High. (Psalm 7:17, ESV)
This is our key to the entrance to God’s presence. Prayer is the welcome our Father gives to all His beloved children.
Simply, the more we pray. The more we feel and are comforted by the presence of the Sovereign God. God is LOVE. His righteous right hand reaches out to you and to me. As we pray to Him. Our Father reaches His hand and takes us into His Kingdom.
We are forever welcome. No matter how many times we stumble and fall. God forgives and welcomes us. God is LOVE. God always forgives all truly repentant children.
Scripture Reading: For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. (Hebrews 8:12, NKJV)
Throughout our day of service, we pray. Oh! How we pray. In times of sadness and heartache. A prayer for peace and rest. In times of joy and gladness. A simple prayer to our Father that He may share our happiness. For God is LOVE. Our Father wants each of His beloved children to be happy and He desires to share our joy.
Problems pop-up from time-to-time as we walk in the presence of God.
It is in times of heartache and anxiety that prayer is needed most. This is when we bow our knees in a prayer of seeking God’s mercy and strength. For God is LOVE. Our Father is patiently waiting. God listens to and answers all our pleas for help and strength to carry on. On our knees and with Bible at hand, we pray. You and I believe. Oh! Yes, we believe in the love and the compassion of our Heavenly Father.
Scripture Reading: The Lord is my strength and my song,
and He has become my salvation,
this is my God, and I will praise Him,
my Father’s God, and I will exalt Him. (Exodus 15:2, ESV)
At the close of our day. Of walking in the blessed and glorious presence of our Father. We pray.
This day with Almighty God has been a true adventure. A day of service and a day filled with His love. As we look back on our day. You and I see God’s blessings. Our friends and family. Yes, just a phone call may be. But precious moments of love shared. A friend in need helped with the strength and guidance of God the Holy Spirit and a prayer to our Father. And our home and our life. Such gifts of love from Almighty God.
God is LOVE. His love, He has poured out to us throughout this blessed day. In ways mysterious and uncountable. You and I never tire of serving our Heavenly Father. You and I never tire of praising and worshiping Almighty God. You and I never tire of showing to Him our thanksgiving in prayer.
God is LOVE. We owe to Him at the close of our day a simple and a humble prayer of love, praise and thanksgiving. God’s Holy Word we search for words of comfort and peace. Before our eyes close in restful slumber. Before yet another day of service to Almighty God.
God is LOVE. You and I have eternity to walk in the presence of a God. Whose very nature is LOVE. We have eternity to sing His praises and to worship His Holy Name. AMEN!
Scripture Reading: Psalm 146 A psalm of praise. Of David.
Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord, my soul.
