God’s Love is Complete and Perfect
Almighty God’s love is without limits and is boundless.
Scripture Reading: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
for His steadfast love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1, ESV)“Though we are incomplete, God loves us completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. Though we may feel lost and without compass, God’s love encompasses us completely. … He loves every one of us, even those who are flawed, rejected, awkward, sorrowful, or broken.” (Dieter F. Uchtdorf)
Reflection. Do we deserve the love Almighty God has for us? Can we earn the love He showers upon us? Do we?
Scripture Reading: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23, KJV)
Let us look at ourselves honestly for a moment. Try as hard as we can. We are not perfect. And never will be. Who do we hurt the most? By our imperfections. We hurt the One who loves us the most. Almighty God.
Do we deserve the love and blessings of our Heavenly Father? Our honest answer must be — NO. Then we ask ourselves. Why does God love us with such a deep and personal love? WHY? The answer is that He is God. God is love. Almighty God does not merely choose to love us. As wonderful and life-changing as this is.
God’s very nature is love. Everything Almighty God does. He does it through His LOVE. When God saw the darkness of man. God designed and instigated a plan for man’s salvation. It was through God’s sacrificial love. That the Heavenly Father sent His beloved Son, Jesus. God sent Jesus to bring us from our darkness into the light of His love.
Almighty God’s very character is pure and sweet love. When we call to Him in prayer. God is there listening and answering each plea. Each prayer is heard and answered according to the love of each person. Each person is loved as an individual. Each person is blessed as a person of worth.
Almighty God’s love is gentle, kind and tender. When we kneel before Him. With a prayer for healing. God reaches out His mighty hand. His hand gently heals and brings the peace needed. Our bodies, hearts and souls are healed. We are at peace. In the loving presence of Almighty God.
Scripture Reading: So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (1 John 4:16, ESV)
God is love. It makes no difference who we are. Almighty God loves us. It makes no difference what our prayer to Him may be. Almighty God loves us. It makes no difference how many times we hurt Him through our sinful nature. When we confess our sins. And ask for His forgiveness. Almighty God loves us. We do not deserve His love. YET. Almighty God loves us.
From eternity to infinity. Almighty God loves those who fear and love Him.
Scripture Readings: I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3, ESV)
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing. (Zephaniah 3:17, ESV)
The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued My faithfulness to you. (Jeremiah 31:3, ESV)
The Bible is inseparable from Almighty God. Because the Bible was written by God about God.
Scripture Readings: For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12, NIV)
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the Word of our God endures forever. (Isaiah 40:8, NIV)
The Holy Word of God was written by man. The Holy Word of God was inspired by God, the Holy Spirit. The Bible was indeed written by God about God. The Bible was written in the ink of God’s unfailing love. Every word, verse, chapter and book in the Bible was written to be read with love.
When reading the Bible. Do so in true reverence, awe and wonder. The Bible is the living and active Word of God. As we read the Bible. We are reading of Almighty God. We are reading of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. We are reading of God the Holy Spirit. Our helper, guide, mentor and teacher.
Next time we reach for our somewhat worn Bible. Do we appreciate the true significance of this Book? Do we? This is not just any book. This is a living and active testimony of the love that God Almighty has for you and me. The Bible is a testimony of the sacrificial love our Heavenly Father has for fallen humanity. The Bible tells us how much God loves you and me.
Conclusion. Hold onto the Promises of God.
- We hold fast to the promises of God. Promises of hope and love.
- Do we deserve the love Almighty God has for us? Can we earn the blessings He shower upon us? Do we?
- From eternity to infinity. Almighty God loves those who fear and love Him.
- The Bible is inseparable from Almighty God. Because the Bible was written by God about God.
“I Still Believe” declares God’s unfailing love and goodness to us all.
This song is a declaration of faith and trust in God’s unfailing goodness and love, even in the face of uncertainties and unmet expectations. For some of us, the past year might have been a long journey filled with many disappointments and unanswered prayers, but despite it all, let us always find assurance in His Word and promises in 📙 Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV): “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (YouTube, 2024)
