God Uses Our Arid, Wilderness Days to Show His Love

Our Father’s love comforts and strengthens us, we worship and praise Him.

So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary,
beholding Your power and glory.
Because Your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise You. (Psalm 63:2–3, ESV)

God’s power, glory and love is found in nature, in all of His creations.

So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary, (Psalm 63:2a, ESV)

Psalm 63 in the “Treasury of David,” was recorded as he was fleeing for his life. Escaping the wrath of his enemies, in the arid and waterless wilderness of Judah. In contradiction to his fearful and life-threatening predicament. Even as his very life was in danger.

David penned this sacred song of love and praise to his God and Lord. Nights spent under countless stars, gave him reason to thank and praise God. He never doubted God would rescue him and keep him safe.

You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows. (Psalm 23:5b, ESV)

Undoubtedly, David’s most exquisite and emotive of his Psalms, passed down through the ages. Is Psalm sixty-three. In Judah’s waterless and dry region, David found only praise and worship for God. In his heart, he responded with songs and hymns. For the overflowing love and comfort he received from God…
