God Himself is Love. He Never Stops Loving
God’s love is a gift, without limits and without ending.
Introduction. In God We Trust. Each of us needs God more than we will ever know.
Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. (Psalm 63:3, ESV)
What is God’s love? Who is God? God is love!!! This sounds too good to be true. Well not for David. For David, the love he receive from God was all that he required.
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek You;
my soul thirsts for You;
my flesh faints for You,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. (Psalm 63:1, ESV)
David’s only need is God Almighty. In God we trust, the joy of being in God’s holy and loving presence is more blessed than words can say. David compares God’s presence in his life, as water brought to a dry and arid desert. In other words, God is our very life force. In a desert, where there is water, (an oasis,) there is life. Where there is a complete lack of water, there is also a complete lack of life. In a person’s life, where there is no faith in God. There is no wholeness. Only darkness and wandering.
But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him,
and His righteousness to children’s children,
to those who keep His covenant
and remember to do…
