When you follow God’s will for your life, you can see how yesterday’s events prepared you for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities. (David Jeremiah)

Make sure you are doing what God wants you to do — then do it with all your strength. (George Washington)

Introduction. Living in and for God — Fulfilling God’s purpose and will — Finding true meaning and satisfaction.

The Sovereignty and rulership of the Almighty is above all. God’s divine leadership and control over all He created is beyond question. This of course, includes God’s will and purpose over our life. Our Heavenly Father’s love for us is complete. God has a purpose and a plan for each of His people.

Scripture Readings: In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will. (Ephesians 1:11, ESV)

I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me. (Psalm 57:2, ESV)

Almighty God’s love for each of His children covers every aspect of our life. God protects and cares for you and for me every moment. Every step we take is pre-destined. Each day is lovingly and caringly planned for by our Father. His purpose is worked out according to God’s perfect love for each individual child of faith.

Scripture Reading: The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
the plans of His heart to all generations. (Psalm 33:11, ESV)

Stay faithful and obedient to our one and meaningful purpose in Almighty God.

It is Almighty God. Our Creator alone who designs and knows our life’s purpose. From the beginning of time. Our Creator God determines where and when each of us lives.

Scripture Reading: And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us. (Acts 17:26–27, ESV)

WHY??? So, each person should spend our life loving and seeking Almighty God. For me this is quite astounding. That where and when I live was pre-destined by my Father. This is how important and how loved by God you and me are.

How exactly do you and I identify God’s precise and divine purpose?

Scripture Reading: Who saved us and called us to a Holy calling, not because of our works but because of His own purpose and grace, which He gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. (2 Timothy 1:9, ESV)

The cornerstone in knowing and fulfilling our God-given purpose. Is forming and maintaining a personal companionship with our Father. Having a loving and intimate fellowship with God. Identifies God’s purpose through consistent prayer and diligent Bible study.

God’s Holy Word warns us that ignorance of God’s Holy purpose leads to eternal destruction.

Scripture Reading: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,
because you have rejected knowledge,
I reject you from being a priest to Me. (Hosea 4:6a, ESV)

You and I need knowledge and instruction from God in order to obey. There is one place. Once source only from which to find and know Almighty God. God and His Sovereign ways are written for us in in His Holy Word.

Our sole purpose is to serve Almighty God. To be like His beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and to save lives by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Refer to Acts 20:24; Ephesians 2:10)

A true and meaningful life is an enduring pursuit. A lifetime of faith which you travel one day at a time.

You and I surrender our day and our heart to Almighty God. Our sincerest desire is to serve God only. In this we follow the loving example of Jesus. As shown to us in His Gospels. We read time and time again. Wondrous and loving proof of the love and tender care of our Lord.

Jesus Christ answering to the sick and the blind.

Scripture Reading: In that hour He healed many people of diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and on many who were blind He bestowed sight. And He answered them, “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them. (Luke 7:21–22, ESV)

Although harassed all around by the needy crowd. Jesus always took His time for the individual. Our Lord loved each soul who needed His tender love and care. The tormented and lost person possessed by demonic powers. Jesus reached out and touched by His love. Our Lord set them free and gave to them His peace.

Jesus Christ our Lord and our God loves deeply still. God’s beloved Son blesses and serves the poor through us, His disciples. We serve God, by serving the needy and the poor in our local and global community. As did Jesus. We bless the food and feed the multitude. With two small fish and five loaves of bread. Yes, with Jesus and the power of prayer. Miracles do and shall occur.

Scripture Reading: I And taking the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to Heaven and said a blessing over them. Then He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. (Luke 9:16, ESV)

Conclusion. Jesus shows how to love others.

We owe to Almighty God our very existence. Our life is a free gift of mercy and love from our Creator. Life is an adventure of ups and downs. Days filled with joys and heartbreak. Throughout our life there is one constant. The love and tender care of our Heavenly Father.

Almighty God gave to each of us, His beloved children a specific plan. When we strive each day earnestly to fulfill His plan and obey His Holy purpose. Our life is filled with God’s love and is meaningful.

As Jesus’ disciples we love and tenderly care for all those we meet. And through the church and other organizations all God’s needy ones.

  • Let us, as His disciple love as Jesus continues to do.
  • This then is fulfilling God’s Holy purpose in our life.
