THIS ARTICLE REMINDS US. THAT BY THE CROSS WE ARE SET FREE!

The man or woman who does not know God demands an infinite satisfaction from other human beings which they cannot give, and in the case of the man, he becomes tyrannical and cruel. It springs from this one thing, the human heart must have satisfaction, but there is only one Being who can satisfy the last abyss of the human heart, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. (Oswald Chambers)

Reflection. The world no longer has its power over us. We live for the glory of Almighty God. We are free by the saving grace of our Lord Jesus.

Scripture Reading: For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with Him. We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and He will never die again. Death no longer has any power over Him. When He died, He died once to break the power of sin. But now that He lives, He lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:7–11, ESV)

Do you wake up each morning with a prayer of praise in your heart? Each morning. Do you praise the Holy name of Jesus for His gift of salvation? Are the first words on your lips? Words of praise for the One. Who died on His rugged cross to set you free. Do you silently pray? To Almighty God thanking Him for sending His beloved Son? To die in your place. Thanking Almighty God. You are set free from the darkness of your sins. You are now eternally alive through Jesus’ gift of salvation.

Most mornings I remember. Most mornings are started with a brief prayer to Almighty God. At the end of this prayer. I include a few words of thankfulness for my salvation. Without this wondrous gift. I would not be in my bed praying to my Heavenly Father. If I had not accepted Jesus’ offer of salvation. I would still be lost in the darkness of my sins.

Do you realise what a wondrous gift this freedom is? Jesus our Lord, our Redeemer and our God. Jesus in complete and humble obedience to His Father. Left Heaven and came to Earth. To die and answer the wrath of God. Although God loves each person He created.

Almighty God cannot be in the presence of someone who is not perfect. We all have sinned. Our sins have created a spasm between Almighty God and ourselves. We walk in the darkness. God’s love and His light cannot reach us. We walk in the perpetual darkness of our sins and sinful nature.

Scripture Reading: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23, ESV)

One day, one moment we hear the sweet, tender and loving call of Jesus. Jesus is asking us to believe in Him. He is asking us to follow Him. We immediately drop whatever it is we are doing. We do what His Apostles did over two millennia ago. We stood up and followed Jesus. We accepted Jesus’ gift of salvation. We follow in the footsteps of our Lord, Savior and God. Wherever Jesus may lead us. In humble and loving obedience. We follow Him with open hearts. With hearts filled sincere love for Him and all God’s people.

We accept the gift of Jesus — salvation. With this gift. Jesus has broken the chains that bind us to sin and our sinful nature. The precious and perfect blood of the Lamb of God. Have washed us as clean as the driven snow. Our sins have been washed away. We are made right with Almighty God. Jesus our Lord and Savior has set us free. Free to serve Almighty God. Free to glorify God in all we say and do.

Scripture Reading: So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. (John 8:36, ESV)

Jesus is not only our Savior and Redeemer. Our Lord is also our faithful companion and strong protector.

As you walk through the valley of the unknown, you will find the footprints of Jesus both in front of you and beside you. (Charles Stanley)

I had a bookmark once. With an image of footprints on a beach. With a text that I will take with me to my grave. I cannot remember the text exactly. I do remember the impact it had on me at the time. And still does. It stated that in times of worry and anxiety. There is only one set of footprints in the sand of life. Because our Lord Jesus picks us up and carries us through. Therefore, in our times of trouble. There is only one set of footprints. Jesus our Lord is carrying us through our cares and woes. He always does.

Conclusion. I pray that you feel comforted by these words. The comfort and peace that I do. You realise that in times of struggle and despair. You have a Friend. A companion. A Savior. A Redeemer. In your Lord Jesus.

Jesus tenderly. With all the love in His heart. Bends low. Jesus lifts you onto His shoulder and He carries you Home. You are filled with emotions of safety and peace. You realise. How much your Lord and companion, Jesus truly cares for you. Jesus’ hand reaches out for you. Jesus leads you when, and as needed. You reach out your hand and heart to Jesus. In true faith and gratitude. You follow in the footsteps of Jesus. For the rest of your life.

If you had a thousand crowns you should put them all on the head of Christ! And if you had a thousand tongues they should all sing His praise, for He is worthy! (William Tiptaft)

A Final Prayer.

Jesus, please free me for greater spontaneity, louder laughter, saltier tears, and quicker repentances. Grant me a larger heart for loving the lost, having mercy on doubters, and running after strays and prodigals. So very Amen I pray, in your most compassionate and tender name. (TGC)

This song reminds us that Jesus is our only hope.

The Meaning Behind The Song: “Living Hope” (Live) by Phil Wickham.

The song begins by acknowledging the immense gap that exists between humanity and God. It reflects on the struggles we face and the inability to bridge the divide on our own. However, in our desperation, we turn to Heaven and call upon the name of Jesus. It is through His loving-kindness and grace that the darkness in our souls is shattered. The lyrics proclaim that Jesus Christ is our living hope, the One who has completed the work of salvation on our behalf. (Salvatore Ross, 2023)
