Introduction. Forgiveness — Commanded by Almighty God. When this commandment we obey. A heavy load at the foot of Jesus’ cross we lay down.
Scripture Readings: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32, ESV)
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. (Matthew 6:14, ESV)
Forgiving others and ourselves. Not only is obeying our Father, God. It is also unloading a heavy and an unnecessary load. We lay down the bitterness and the anger at the foot of Jesus’ cross.
