Beautiful Garden of Prayer.

There’s a garden where Jesus is waiting,
There’s a place that is wondrously fair.
For it glows with the light of His presence,
’Tis the beautiful garden of prayer.

O the beautiful garden, the garden of prayer,
O the beautiful garden of prayer.

And I go with my burden and care.
Just to learn from His lips, words of comfort,
In the beautiful garden of prayer.

(James Henry Fillmore and Eleanor Allen Schroll, 1920)

Introduction. God’s wondrous gift of love — PRAYER. Our Heavenly Father’s awesome blessing to all His beloved children — PRAYER.

Scripture Readings: Whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. (John 14:13–14, ESV)

Pray then like this: “Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. (Matthew 6:9–13, ESV)

Prayer, our precious gift of love from the Almighty One. Is far more than, simply speaking. Prayer is talking to the One who loves us, with love beyond understanding.

Praying to our Heavenly Father creates for us. An opportunity to share us. Yes, indeed we can share who we truly are. For our Father, God searches our heart. Almighty God knows each thought. Nothing to the One who dearly loves you and me, is hidden.

We approach the Holy throne of Almighty God in prayer. In prayer, we bow our head. With heart wide open. We speak our words of love and thanksgiving. In words of love. We sincerely share our day. The little triumphs. We gladly share with our Father. The sad tidings. You and I unload to the One who is stronger. Our beloved Father is able to carry our heavy load in our stead.

We place in the mighty and powerful palm of God. Our beloved ones. Any fears and anxieties. We, again, unload to our Heavenly Father. Believing all provisions He grants to us, each day.

Our Heavenly Father desires above all else. For each prayer we usher to Almighty God. To be truly heartfelt and from a heart wide open to God’s unceasing love.

Scripture Reading: For the Director of Music. For pipes. A Psalm of David.

Listen to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.
Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to You I pray. (Psalm 5:1–2, NIV)

Our Heavenly Father gave to you and to me — PRAYER. Because of His deep and personal love. Almighty God loved each of His children. It constantly amazes me. God, the Creator of the universe and all within it. Finds the time to listen to little old me. I promise to the Almighty One never, never to waste His precious time. I am going to give it to Him, “both barrels.”

What also is important to the One who gave to us — PRAYER. Is the attitude in which we sit with Him in prayer. For our prayers to God are not merely words. You and I pray with our heart. For our heart is the source. The very foundation of all our emotions.

Our heart speaks to God, our Father. Words which our mind is unable to find. When happy, we speak to God of our joy in praise. When sad, we speak through tears of heartache. Always, always we speak from our heart. For our Heavenly Father always listens and answers from His.

Scripture Reading: Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done’.” (Matthew 21:21, NIV)

There are many, many instances in the Holy Word of God. Where our Heavenly Father warns you and I not to merely speak words to Him.

God created the gift of prayer. As a means of truly sharing who we are with Him. You and I, over the course of many, many years have built confidence in God. Now we bravely share with our Father of ourselves. With no hesitation, without fear. We share our whole heart with Almighty God in our prayer time.

Heartfelt and persistent prayer in our times of sheer happiness. We pray to our Heavenly Father fervently.

Scripture Readings: Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3, NIV)

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be n health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3 John 2, KJV)

Each of God’s beloved children have been blessed with wonders beyond words. Our beloved child is such a gift. Each child a blessing from Almighty God. Our precious and beloved child a wonder to behold. As we spend time with our child. Who to us means more than, our own life.

A prayer to the One who sent her to us, is ushered. The beauty of His creation, our beloved and precious child. For she makes our heart sing a prayer to God Almighty. Fervent prayers to God out of sheer joy and purest love for our Heavenly Father.

Where do we find our very special things??? In the love we see in the deepest of our friendships. In the eyes of our beloved. In the joy of our children? In the Word, in the Holy Word of God. All these and so very much more make us complete.

Yes, in our prayer time. Let our heart speak for us to Almighty God. For it is our Heavenly Father who brought to us these joyful times and days of gladness.

Scripture Reading: My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee and will look up. (Psalm 5:3, KJV)

Heartfelt prayer. Each and every time we pray.

Sadly, I fail myself. Yes, I let myself down. In the days I need my Father the most. These are the days I neglect to pray. These days are when God, I fear is saddened so. For these are the days He wants to draw close to me. Then I feel a gentle tug at my heart strings. God’s Spirit once more reminding me. “Dear one, I am here. Dear one, I am waiting.”

Then on my knees I bend. My head I bow. Once more my Heavenly Father I seek in prayer.

Life’s greatest gift of love — PRAYER. Our Heavenly Father’s blessing to each of His beloved children — PRAYER.

  • Always, always pray from the deepest recesses of our heart.
  • Each prayer spoken fervently.
  • With words of our deepest love for Almighty God.
  • Every prayer spoken to a God who always listens, who always cares.
  • Each prayer ushered out of sincerity and genuine gratitude.
