Faith Moves Mountains. Brings us Hope in a Future Filled with God’s Love
If you believe. Mountains dance merrily into the sea.
If you believe.
They say that all you need is faith.
If you believe, you can move the highest mountains
Cross the greatest oceans
And walk across the water.They say that all you need is faith
But it’s almost like you lost your way
Took a few wrong turns, took a few breaks.Falling behind now, looking for grace

Reflection. Faith, absolute faith in the Almighty One. Faith the most powerful force there is. Complete faith gives us strength for today. Faith combined with adoring love. Provides hope in a future filled with God’s unceasing love.
Scripture Readings: He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20, ESV)
For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7, ESV)
For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. (Galatians 3:26, ESV)
Reflection. God the Almighty One is LOVE! Almighty God is on our side through thick and thin. God’s love sees us through our good and our bad days.
Our Heavenly Father is working in the background. The Lords who loves us beyond our deserve. God’s mighty power is working for our own good — ALWAYS! Having true confidence in the One. Having absolute trust in God and in His goodness is FAITH.
Scripture Readings: And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28, ISV)
I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me. (Jeremiah 32:40, ISV)
All Christendom is based on faith in our Heavenly Father. From the moment of our salvation. Till eternity in Paradise with God. It is faith in Almighty God which truly pleases Him. It is our faith in God which gives us the strength to carry on.
How to strengthen our faith in the One who loves us so?
Scripture Reading: And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6, ESV)
Unshakeable faith. Faith which indeed moves mountains. Such faith is not focused on us and on our needs. Genuine faith which helps us overcome all obstacles. Profound faith is based on the very nature of God Himself.
God Almighty has two wondrous and loving attributes. In God we have two strong reasons to place our genuine faith. In the Almighty One our unshakeable faith is based on:
- God is almighty (“…the mighty hand of God)
- God cares for you personally.
Let us consider each of these magnificent attributes of the Almighty One.
Firstly, God Almighty is all-powerful. The mighty hand of God is always there to reach down. No matter how harsh our cares may seem. God is more powerful than all our troubles added together. We at times feel helpless and lost. These are the very times God’s might and His power is there for us. We are at times alone and in utter despair. Again, these are the moments when we reach up to Heaven. For our Father God and His helping and His mighty hand. Is always a little prayer away.
We have a God who loves to love. For God is Love.
Scripture Reading: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10, ESV)
This very attribute of God is what we place our absolute faith in. It is through the love of God. That His might and His magnificence can be relied upon. It is through God’ love for us. That the might and the power of God can work for our good.
We have witnessed the power of God. In the creation of the universe. We have witnessed the love. Through the eyes of our children. We have felt the combination of both the might and the love of God the Father. In answered prayers. Yes it is through prayer that we seek both the might of the Almighty One. It is through prayer that we seek the love of our Heavenly Father. It is through answered prayer. That God reaches His righteous right hand to and for us.
Scripture Reading: Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. ” So resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brothers and sisters who are in the world. (1 Peter 5:6–9, NASB)
Conclusion. Faith Moves Mountains. Brings us Hope in a Future Filled with God’s Love. If you believe. Mountains dance merrily into the sea.
Scripture tells us that God is all-powerful. It also tells us that God is good and wise and full of love.
When you blend the omnipotence and goodness and wisdom and love of God, you end up with a God who is worthy of trust and praise and adoration.
This is why Peter could say in 1 Peter 5:6–7:
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. ( Stephen Altrogge, The Blazing Center Blog)
