Faith in Almighty God. Brings Power to Move Mountains
We are placing our faith and trust in Almighty God. Gives us the power to move the mighty mountain.
Reflection. Almighty God is the Master of all He creates. With complete faith in God. Nothing for us is impossible — NOTHING!!!
Scripture Reading: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20, KJV)
Reading of this miracle. With all the love for Jesus our Lord, we have in our hearts and souls. We have a gentle smile. As we picture a mighty mountain. Merrily skipping into the deep and dark ocean. In humble obedience to our courageous command. This mountain is topped with snow. It is merrily dancing to the awaiting deep and dark ocean. It slips in, never to be seen again.
This mountain is a metaphor for our deepest fear. The mighty ocean is the love and the hope we find in God Almighty. The mountain symbolizes all our troubles and heartaches. This mighty mountain is our sadness and heartbreaks. All our cares and worries dance into the powerful hands of Almighty God. All our cares and worries are topped by the tears of our sadness. We send them on their way. We bid them into the ocean of God’s love.
We trust all our sorrows into the tender heart of our Heavenly Father. We place all our cares into the unbounded power of Almighty God. Our heartaches find their true destination. All sorrows and trials are passed over to the One able to carry each one. At the foot of the cross. We lay our burdens down. We find our eternal rest in Almighty God.
Sadly, even though our faith in Almighty God is strong and true. There will be times when the trials and heartache of our lives are overwhelming. In our lives of service. There will be moments of loss and loneliness. Times when the nearness of our Heavenly Father is absent. When the trials of our lives threaten to sink us. When our trials are far too much for us to carry alone.
All alone. We whisper in our sadness. All alone. We usher a prayer to Heaven. All alone. We plead to the One who is always there listening. All alone. We send our plea for help and comfort. Then as we are kneeling before the Heavenly throne. We feel the answer to our little prayer. Almighty God hears and answers all our prayers. God is love. God has heard and answered our little prayer.
In our breaking hearts a gentle stirring. All alone. In our sorrowful souls. A quiet whispering. We are not alone. We are never alone. It is God, the Holy Spirit urging us once more to listen to Him. It is God, the Holy Spirit urging us. To open our hearts once more His still, small voice is speaking. It is God, the Holy Spirit providing us with the comfort, strength and courage needed. It is God’s Spirit who teaches of Jesus, His teachings, His ministry and His love.
God, the Holy Spirit guides us into the Truth of God. He gives us the strength, comfort and courage to walk our path of faith.
Scripture Reading: When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come. (John 16:13, ESV)
We listen. Oh! Yes! We listen to the soothing and strengthening words of God’s Spirit. With the strength and the courage gained through God’s Spirit, anything is possible. It does not matter what life may throw at us. God Almighty provides all that is needed. It does not where or when we exist. God’s Spirit abides within us. God the Holy Spirit gives the strength, comfort and courage required.
We read the Holy Word of God often and diligently. They are parts that are far past our understanding. These are the parts where we seek guidance and teaching from God, the Holy Spirit—kneeling before the Heavenly throne of God. Beloved Bible in hand. We pray to Almighty God
Nathan Pacheco’s rendition although sung in Italian. Beautifully sings to our hearts.
Paul Cardall’s New Inspirational Song “Gethsemane”
Is inspirational and awe-inspiring. Just as Michael Angelo masterfully painted his magnificent mural on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, Paul uses his music as his paintbrush and the beautiful lyrics of the songs as the colorful brush strokes to paint a remarkable portrait of the Savior. Michael Angelo’s work depicts the doctrine of humanity’s need for salvation as offered by God through Jesus Christ, and Paul’s beautiful new creation is a living testimony of the Savior of humankind.
The Prophet Isaiah records these words of the Immortal Messiah in Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty (Keith L. Brown,| Jun 24, 2022)
Gary’s article is both uplifting and insightful, Diane.
