Cry Out to Jesus, He Will Bring Peace in Our World of Turmoil
Jesus is our peace offering, peace is a gift from God.
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (John 14:27, ESV)
The world today, more than ever, is crying out for peace.
News headlines, both local and international, brings tears to our eyes. Deep, deep sorrow to our hearts. We wonder is peace, lasting peace, even possible? The simple answer is yes. The deep and mysterious answer is, it is a gift from God.
Without God, people wander through life, not ever knowing true and lasting peace. It is like being plonked in the pilot’s seat of an airplane. Told to fly all our loved ones home. Very scary indeed. God is our instruction manual, our source of lasting peace.
God, through His beloved Son, Christ Jesus, gives us peace that lasts forever. A gift the natural world is unable to offer. God, our Father, loves us so deeply, so passionately. He wants nothing more than for each of us to have peace. Peace, soothing and calming peace. The eternal and loving peace of Jesus Christ, His risen Son.
